The end of every major arc in X-men Supreme usually means major upheavals and Natural Disorder is no exception. It’s already happened multiple times in this fanfiction series. We saw it unfold after the Uprising arc when Magneto went to prison. We saw it in the Overlord arc when Magneto became ruler of Genosha. We saw it after the Dark Legacy arc when Sinister’s plot with the Legacy Virus left 300 million people dead within the span of a week. This fanfiction series goes through all sorts of shifts and unlike the comics, they aren’t restricted to sterilization plots.
The conflict in Natural Disorder is unlike anything the X-men have faced thus far in X-men Supreme. The Mutant Liberation Front, as led by Magneto’s old henchman Toad, isn’t out to destroy humanity directly. They favor the indirect approach, destroying the foundation on which the human race is built and allowing natural selection to do the rest. They demonstrate more tact and cunning compared to the likes of Magneto or Sinister. They’ve even managed to convince others, including the Brotherhood’s own Avalanche, to join them. While their methods are cunning, the X-men can be just as tricky.
They had to be, given the result of their first encounter with the Mutant Liberation Front. In X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell, the X-men suffered a humiliating defeat. On top of that, they learned that Professor Charles Xavier had been keeping another unpleasant secret in the form of an addiction to pain pills. This secret forced him to step down from the Xavier Institute, forcing the X-men to function without him. Now, in his first real test as Operations Commander, Cyclops led the X-men in the attack against the Mutant Liberation Front. The outcome will forever change the landscape of this fanfiction series.
The fallout began to unfold at the end of X-men Supreme Issue 132: Natural Disorder Part 2. The X-men successfully stopped the Mutant Liberation Front from crippling the entire human race with Magneto’s old amplification machine. However, their efforts now threaten to cripple both humanity, mutants, and every living thing on the planet, starting with Polaris. After being abducted by the Mutant Liberation Front, she is now the engine driving this machine. She is also the key to stopping it. But doing so will come at a price, one that will be felt both within the X-men and for many others.
I usually save major shifts like this for the end of a major volume. That’s what I did with Uprising, Overlord, and Dark Legacy. However, I’m taking a different approach in X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation. This major shift is not the end of this volume of X-men Supreme. It’s only a major upheaval. There are still plenty more to come, but they all start with the stunning conclusion of the Natural Disorder arc.
The end of this arc will bring many changes and new challenges to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Change and upheaval are the fuel with which X-men has evolved over the past half-century. Great conflicts bring out the best and worst of these characters. It’s my intention to ensure that only the best shows with X-men. To do that, it’s incredibly important that readers continue to provide feedback for this. The more I get, the more I can ensure that X-men Supreme is as awesome as can be. Either post your comments directly in the issue or contact me directly. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

The extent of every victory is often measured against the price paid to achieve it. The X-men have paid more than their fair share of prices throughout X-men Supreme. They’ve paid a high price throughout their entire mythos. The death of Jean Grey during the Dark Phoenix Saga remains one of the most iconic moments in the history of X-men. They won the day, but lost someone very dear to them.
X-men Supreme has suffered losses as well. Most recently, the X-men lost their teammate and former teacher, Thunderbird, during the Dark Legacy arc. They’ve endured plenty of other losses, from the departure of Angel and Rogue from the team to Charles Xavier having to part ways with his blossoming love interest, Lilandra Neramani. Major losses are a big part of the drama that gives the X-men’s story such power. I’ve tried to capture that throughout the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. And I intend to do so with the final issue of the Natural Disorder arc.
The X-men have never faced an enemy like the Mutant Liberation Front before. Under Toad’s leadership, a concept that many X-men fans might struggle with, they’ve set themselves apart from Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants or someone like Sinister. They don’t seek to kill humanity or fight their fellow mutants. They seek to let natural selection do that for them. They took a page right out of Magneto’s playbook in the Overlord arc and tried to use the same machine he used to wipe out every piece of electronic equipment on the planet. Take away civilization, technology, and infrastructure and the world is reduced the basic mechanics of survival. The X-men know the odds aren’t in humanity’s favor so they can’t afford to lose this battle.
It has already been one of the X-men’s most difficult battles to date in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. They’ve had to fight the Mutant Liberation Front without the guidance of their mentor, Charles Xavier. It’s Cyclops who is now in charge. He led the attack against the Mutant Liberation Front as they prepare to make their final move in the swamps of New Orleans. However, the battle ended up going wrong for both sides. The machine that once nearly destroyed the world before is about to do so again. There’s no gray area anymore. Either the X-men win the day or everyone loses.
Those are the current states in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Cyclops must show he can lead the X-men without his mentor and the X-men must show they can defeat the Mutant Liberation Front on their own terms. However, as we’ve seen in many other battles with the X-men, victory will come at a price. Just how high will that price be? That’ll be revealed in another heart-wrenching conclusion to a very important arc. As always, I’ve prepared a preview on this site and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
As losses mount for the X-men and the drama escalates, I hope to keep this fanfiction series engaging and intriguing for all the right reasons. I want X-men fans to see X-men Supreme as a genuine outlet for X-men, especially at a time when the comics have been so dire. The situation in X-men Supreme is very different. There’s no sterilization plots. The institute hasn’t been relocated to Limbo. Expect a very different path for X-men Supreme. And in order to ensure that path is sufficiently awesome, it’s important that I get as much feedback as possible. Please contact me directly or post your comments directly in the issue. Either way is fine. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

The hardest part of any fight that the X-men, or any superhero for that matter, have to face involves the innocent people who get caught in the crossfire. Sometimes, it’s on a global scale. In the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, arcs like Overlord and the Cambrian Explosion put every man, woman, and child in the crossfire. In arcs like the Phoenix Saga, it put the X-men’s own Jean Grey in the crossfire. In any case, the stakes of the battle were elevated in a major way. The Mutant Liberation Front are preparing to do that, but not in the same way that Magneto or the Phoenix Force has done.
As they’ve shown throughout X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation, the Mutant Liberation Front isn’t interested in inflicting mass casualties. They are not like Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants or even the Morlocks. They seek to create chaos and fear by destroying infrastructure, leaving people to struggle to survive on their own. In Toad’s twisted view, this is the ultimate test for humans and mutants. Take away all the artificial constructs surrounding them and see who can survive. He’s been making progress since the events of X-men Supreme Issue 126: Heart Attack. Now, he’s ready to deliver the finishing blow.
In this case, however, the Mutant Liberation Front is a bit more willing to accept casualties. But this time, there’s a very specific casualty at risk. It happens to be Polaris, the half-sister of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. Ever since the Overlord arc, she’s been an important figure on Genosha. She helped Magneto from destroying the world. She also helped temper her siblings as they took on larger roles on Genosha. She’s even developed a close relationship with Havok, the current field leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants. Now, her life is at risk because she’s the key to the Mutant Liberation Front’s success.
It started with Madison Jefferies, who the Mutant Liberation Front went out of their way to capture. But it’s going to end with Polaris. She’s the final piece. She’s the last remaining key. To get her, the Mutant Liberation Front even convinced Avalanche, who has been a loyal member of the Brotherhood since X-men Supreme Issue 4: Growing Ranks, to betray his team. That betrayal came at the worst possible time for the Scarlet Witch, who is already leading an increasingly chaotic mutant nation. That chaos, however, might not matter if the Mutant Liberation Front succeeds.
Make no mistake. There is a lot at stake here, both in the short and long term for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. The X-men already lost to the Mutant Liberation Front in X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell. They can’t afford to lose again. They must defeat the Mutant Liberation Front and they must do it without Professor Charles Xavier. It promises to be a defining challenge for the X-men and one they must pass.
These are the kinds of moments where the X-men are at their best. They’ve had more than their share of moments in the comics lately, albeit for all the wrong reasons. I want to make these reasons right in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Part of that means ensuring the quality of awesome in each issue of this fanfiction series. And I can’t know that I’m sustaining such awesome without sufficient feedback. So please take the time to provide feedback on X-men Supreme. Either post your comment directly in the issue or contact me directly. I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

There’s an unwritten rule with X-men that often plays out in the comics, cartoons, or movies. Whenever the mutant race takes one step forward, it two violent shoves in the opposite direction. It’s like an unbalanced version of Newton’s law. We’ve seen it play out in the X-men comics recently. Finally, the X-men undid the effects of M-Day and were no longer going extinct. Then, the Terrigen Mist comes along and renders mutants sterile again. On top of that, major characters like Cyclops, Wolverine, and Charles Xavier lay dead. While it hasn’t gotten that bad in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, I like to think this law has been properly applied.
When a catastrophe in the Uprising arc in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution was averted, it only laid the foundation for a much larger catastrophe in the Overlord arc in X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers. The Cambrian Explosion arc that took place in X-men Supreme Volume 4: Politics of Fear was certainly a catastrophe in its own right. However, it only ended up setting the stage for the emerging cataclysm unfolding in the Natural Disorder arc.
The ancient entity known as the Cambrian tried to use Magneto to reshape the world. It failed thanks to the X-men and the Brotherhood of Mutants. But it’s getting another chance through Toad and the Mutant Liberation Front. After undergoing a radical transformation in X-men Supreme Issue 110: Supreme Justice, Toad is more powerful than he’s ever been, in X-men Supreme or any other X-men medium for that matter. He’s armed with the power, vision, and cunning of an ancient force. Now, he’s preparing to finish what the Cambrian started.
The stakes couldn’t be higher and the circumstances couldn’t be more dire. The X-men are without their mentor, Charles Xavier, and have to rely on difficult decisions from Storm, Beast, and Cyclops. President Robert Kelly is no longer relying on General Grimshaw to handle mutant affairs, favoring the more militant approach of Henry Gyrich’s GRSO Unit. And with the influence of the Mutant Liberation Front undermining stability on Genosha, the Scarlet Witch sees her fragile authority faltering. This is the situation that’s unfolding in Natural Disorder and it’s about to get even worse.
The X-men are behind the curve, but not by much. They already know that someone is after Madison Jefferies, a mutant who Gyrich’s GRSO Unit tried to arrest before he fled. The X-men have reason to believe that he’s being tracked by the Mutant Liberation Front and Wolverine is now hot on his trail. What will they find? What sort of conflict will Madison Jefferies lead them to? The catalyst for the next clash between the X-men and the Mutant Liberation Front is about to unfold. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview on this website and on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
I try to follow a certain branch of the unwritten rules surrounding the X-men. I think some of those rules are vital to ensure that the core of X-men is retained and not misconstrued, as has happened in the comics and movies at times. I want the X-men Supreme fanfiction series to remain true to the X-men mythos for every type of X-men fan. As such, it’s vital that I continue to receive feedback for this fanfiction series. Please contact me directly or place your comments directly in the issues. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Every major conflict the X-men face is a culmination between the circumstances that led to it and the fateful decisions that created those circumstances in the first place. Throughout the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, there have been many fateful decisions and dire circumstances. Some involved decisions that were completely out of the hands of the X-men and even their enemies. There was no decision that could’ve averted the crash of a Shi’ar ship under Genosha, as revealed in X-men Supreme Issue 46: Paradise Mystery. Other decisions, such as Magneto’s fateful decision not to save Toad when he got captured in X-men Supreme Issue 83: Test Subject Part 2, had a direct influence on the current conflict the X-men now face.
This fanfiction series is set to enter another major clash. It’s a clash that has been building since X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation began. The Mutant Liberation Front is making waves all over the world. The human/mutant conflict hasn’t been this tense since Magneto took over Genosha in the Overlord arc back in X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers. Under the leadership of Toad, as in the same Toad that Magneto and the Brotherhood of Mutants left behind, the Mutant Liberation Front is in a position to succeed where Magneto and Sinister have failed.
The Mutant Liberation Front has many reasons to be confident. They already fought the X-men once in X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell and they won that battle decisively. On top of that, the X-men are currently operating without the aid of their mentor, Professor Charles Xavier. As he recovers from the effects of an addiction to pain killers, the X-men try to function. Cyclops is the Operations Commander. Storm and Beast are co-headmasters. While they would prefer to wait for their mentor’s return, the Mutant Liberation Front isn’t willing to wait.
They’ve already preparing to make their move. They battled both Wolverine and the newly created GRSO unit in X-men Supreme Issue 131: Double Threat to abduct Madison Jefferies. This luckless mutant literally has the key to ensuring the success of Toad’s plan. He’s already a target of the authorities. As part of another set of fateful decisions, President Kelly is now trusting Henry Peter Gyrich over General Grimshaw in handling mutant affairs. That trust is about to be tested, among other things, and the margin for error couldn’t be smaller.
It’s still somewhat early in X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation, but make no mistake. This is a critical moment for this fanfiction series. The decisions made leading up to this arc, as well as the decisions that will be made during it, will have far-reaching implications for the X-men moving forward. They won’t involve clones, time travel, or sterilization, but they will have a major impact on the X-men, their allies, and their enemies. So get ready and prepare for an arc promises to shake the X-men to their core once again.
There are a lot more conflicts and upheavals to come in X-men Supreme. I try to make sure that each successive conflict builds off the one that came before it. The world I’ve created in this fanfiction series has grown large and diverse. Given the scale of the X-men mythos, I’d say that’s befitting. As such, I’m committed to ensuring that I honor this mythos as much as possible. That means every bit of feedback I get on X-men Supreme helps a great deal. Please, if you can, take the time to provide some feedback. Either post your comments directly in the issue or contact me directly. Either way is fine. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

In every major conflict, the one who achieves victory is often the one who strikes hard and fast. That’s exactly what the Mutant Liberation Front did to the X-men at the beginning of X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation. They flexed their muscle in X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell. It marked their first direct encounter with the X-men and, much like the X-men’s first encounter with the Brotherhood, it ended in the X-men’s humiliating defeat. The Mutant Liberation Front made the world vulnerable and the X-men were powerless to stop them. Now, with Professor Charles Xavier absent, what hope do the X-men have in their next clash?
This isn’t a conflict I intended to drag out. I had no intention of waiting until the end of X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation to depict the final showdown between the X-men and the Mutant Liberation Front. I don’t want this fanfiction series to drag people along like the comics have at times. All too often, we see conflicts develop gradually over the course of many arcs, but they fail to deliver in the end, rendering all that patience worthless. I don’t want that to happen with X-men Supreme. I know I used similar tactics with the Uprising arc in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution and the Overlord arc in X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers. I’ll be using a different tactic here.
The beginning of this showdown is already underway. The events of X-men Supreme Issue 131: Double Threat brought a new and unwitting player into the game, Madison Jefferies. He might be an obscure character in the X-men comics, but the importance of his role moving forward cannot be understated. He has a target on his back with the Mutant Liberation Front, Wolverine, and Henry Peter Gyrich, who is seeking to usurp General Grimshaw as President Kelly’s method for confronting mutants. But why is he a target? Why is he now the key to this conflict?
There will be no ambiguity here. There will be no half-victories or partial defeats. The X-men and the Mutant Liberation Front are on a collision course again. Toad, Stryfe, Reignfire, the Kleinstocks, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who I hope fans of the Deadpool movie are enjoying, are ready to make their move. They don’t want to make the same mistakes as Magneto. They want to end this conflict quickly and efficiently. They may not get a better chance now that the X-men are operating without Charles Xavier so they’re going to take it.
This marks one of the greatest tests to date for the X-men. Cyclops, who is now the undisputed leader when it comes to confronting such conflicts, must lead the X-men into battle against a team that humiliated them once before. Madison Jefferies has already ensured they’re a step behind, but they also have a chance to end this as well. And that’s going to be the catalyst for this critical arc, which I’ve dubbed Natural Disorder. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview on this website and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
Also, in keeping with my efforts to update negated portions of the pics section, I've done another major (and overdue) update to the ever popular X-ladies section. As always, I'm open to receiving commissions and submissions for this section. So if you want to submit something to the X-men Supreme website, please contact me and we'll work out the details.
There’s a lot of upheavals on the horizon for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. This arc is hardly the end of X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation. It is, however, a major game-changer. I know Marvel comics have had plenty of those with the X-men, but I promise that this one doesn’t involve clones, time travel or sterilization. I’m a long ways away from resorting to those methods for this fanfiction series. I want to make awesome in other ways. And in order to ensure the quality of that awesome, it’s very important that I continue to get feedback. So please take the time to post your comments directly in the issues or contact me directly. Either way is fine and I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

There’s a major conflict brewing in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series and it’s about to get even more volatile. While the X-men have faced their share of conflicts throughout this fanfiction series, they’ve never faced anything like the Mutant Liberation Front. They are not like Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants. They are not the kind of team that will overthrow a government on an island, direct a killer asteroid towards Earth, or crash a Dazzler concert. The Mutant Liberation Front isn’t as interested in destruction as it is in ensuring their dominance.
The X-men aren’t the only ones standing in the Mutant Liberation’s path to dominance. They’ve made plenty of enemies all over the world, including President Kelly’s constantly-changing inner circle and an increasingly beleaguered General Nathan Grimshaw. They all suffered a crippling defeat in X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell. The nations of the world, including the Mutant Security Agency, are still recovering from the damage wrought by the Legacy Virus in Dark Legacy. But it’s only a matter of time before the X-men and their allies regroup.
Toad and the Mutant Liberation Front know this. Yes, Toad is still leading this team and he’s leading it well. He’s been a very different character since his transformation after the Cambrian arc. He’s already inspired fierce loyalty among his team, as well as other mutants. But he understands that if he’s going to subdue the X-men, the Mutant Security Agency, and everyone in between, he has to make his move. That’s the next big clash in this fanfiction series.
In order for the Mutant Liberation Front to deliver the finishing blow, they need the willing or unwilling assistance of Madison Jefferies. That’s a name that some particularly hardcore X-men fans should recognize. As a character, he’s a fairly recent creation in the grand scheme of the X-men mythos. He’s also another one of those X-men characters that hasn’t really been fleshed out in the X-men comics. I intend to change that in X-men Supreme.
It all starts with Madison Jefferies. His introduction to this fanfiction series will have some major implications for the coming conflict, as well as conflicts in the future. The X-men are already under pressure to stop the declining state of mutant affairs. They scored a badly needed victory in the Impossible Odds arc, but they need a victory on a much larger scale this time. And they’ll have to achieve it without Professor Charles Xavier. Are they up to the task? We begin to find out today.
In addition, I finally got around to doing a small update ot the pics section section. I know I've been negating it. The holidays, as well as various side-projects, have kept me from doing so. I'd like to get back on track. And for all you artists out there, please remember that I'm always open for submissions and comissions. Please contact me if you're interested.
As the various conflicts continue to evolve in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, expect me to explore other characters like Madison Jefferies in a major way. Between him and Domino, as well as Rogue’s pending return, there are a lot of shifting tides within X-men Supreme. Constant change is a big part of what makes the X-men mythos so strong, but this can be overdone it at times. I want to avoid that, which is why it’s so important that X-men fans of all types continue to send me feedback. Either post it directly in the issue or contact me directly. I’m always happy to chat X-men, whether it’s this fanfiction series or some other X-men related topic. So either way is fine. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!
February 12th, 2016
Today is an exciting day for X-men fans and it’s not even the last in 2016. Today, the Deadpool movie comes out in theaters. The Merc With a Mouth, who has already had his own arc in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, is finally back on the big screen the way he ought to be. This isn’t Barakapool. This is Deadpool and I hope X-men fans everywhere rejoice. It’s not like we’ve got much to rejoice about, given the recent events in the X-men comics.
Given how far out I plan this fanfiction series, it’s not always possible for events in X-men Supreme to coincide with events in the X-men movies. I managed to accomplish this with the Lotus and the Warrior arc, a Wolverine-centered story that came out alongside the last Wolverine movie. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to pull this off with the Deadpool movie. Make no mistake. I still have plans for him in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. However, those plans won’t unfold until later.
While Deadpool won’t be showing up in X-men Supreme to coincide with his movie, there is one character that’s set to show up and it’s a character that Deadpool fans should recognize. In the comics, he’s had more than a few sordid missions with Domino, the X-men’s resident sharpshooter. Some of those missions were more sordid than others, but that didn’t stop Domino from establishing herself. Now, she’s joining the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, albeit under less sordid circumstances.
At the beginning of X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation, I sent Rogue on her own mission. The events of the Dark Legacy arc gave her control of her powers again. And she made good use of those powers to say the least, eagerly rekindling her relationship with Gambit. However, she remains absent from the X-men. She’s also avoiding the unresolved conflicts involving Mystique and Nightcrawler. Now, she’s preparing to confront these conflicts again. But to do so, she’s getting help from Domino. And as it just so happens, this mission might just tie into the ongoing conflict between the X-men and the Mutant Liberation Front.
The events of Impossible Odds showed the effects of the Mutant Liberation Front beyond the violence. There’s a lot of tension between mutants and the authorities. Fear and uncertainty rule the day. And this time, Charles Xavier isn’t around to preach reason and compassion. He’s recovering from his drug-induced ailments, leaving his X-men to deal with this conflict on their own. It’s a major test for the X-men. They were able to defeat Mojo Adams. Can they do so with the Mutant Liberation Front? It’s a complex threat that will begin to unfold soon. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview here on this website and on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
I hope the X-men Supreme fanfiction series can act as extra frosting on the cake for those who see the Deadpool movie. Between Deadpool and X-men Apocalypse, it’s a big year for the X-men. It might not show in the comics, but I hope to contribute with this fanfiction series. There will be some big moments in X-men Supreme this year. And as always, it’s important I know that I’m making these moments as awesome as they deserve to be. So please take the time to provide feedback for X-men Supreme. Either contact me directly or post your feedback in the individual issues. Either way is fine and I’m always happy to chat X-men. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

How far are you willing to go to become a star? That’s a question a lot of people contemplate in some form or another. Everyone has a certain line they won’t cross. For some people, those lines are poorly defined or non-existent. The X-men have often had to deal with people for whom there are no lines. And if there are, they’re often crossed. It has put them in a lot of dangerous situations in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Magneto had lines he wouldn’t cross, which led to his downfall in the Uprising and Overlord arcs. Sinister crossed every line in the Dark Legacy arc. But with Mojo Adams, the X-men have never been in a situation like this before.
This is not the same as stopping an asteroid, thwarting a plague, or even protecting a mutant community. Against Mojo, the X-men have to deal with a threat whose only goal is to turn mutants into an entertainment product. This goal has already put Dazzler and her new ally, Longshot, in the crossfire. Now the X-men have to enter the unique chaos that Mojo has created. But in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, it’s not enough to create chaos. Mojo has to make it go viral and profit the hell out of it.
This is the Mojo the X-men are up against in X-men Supreme. I knew I was going to have to tweak Mojo’s character if I wanted to use him in this fanfiction series. That’s why I’ve adopted more traits from his Ultimate X-men version. He’s not an inter-dimensional being. He’s an ordinary human. Granted, he’s an exceedingly eccentric human with obscene resources, but a human none-the-less. And I think that’s important for the context of this story because he knows there are mutants like Dazzler out there who have hopes and dreams. Like many shady Hollywood types, Mojo is looking to exploit those dreams for his own personal gain. That’s how Hollywood works in both the real world and the world of X-men Supreme.
X-men Supreme is also a world where the Mutant Liberation Front has made life very difficult for mutants like Dazzler. X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell inspired a new wave of fear for the mutant race. Can Dazzler still achieve her dream in this environment? Can Longshot achieve his as well? Well if they are going to pursue their respective dreams, they’ll have to survive Mojo’s chaos first. And the X-men will have to survive it as well. With a Deadpool movie just a few weeks away, I think this sort of chaos is wonderfully appropriate for X-men Supreme. So with that, I hope the conclusion of the Impossible Odds arc provides the entertainment value that Mojo himself would approve of.
The X-men deal with a lot of serious issues. I’ve tried to touch on many of those issues over the course of this fanfiction series. But I also try and take the time to do arcs that have more entertainment value. Not every issue needs to be a dire crisis. Arcs like Impossible Odds help lighten the spirit of this fanfiction series and I hope fans of Dazzler, Longshot, and X-men in general find something to enjoy. As always, it’s very important for me to know whether or not I’ve entertained my readers. And the best way to do that is to leave a review. Either post it directly in the issue or contact me directly. Either way is fine and I’m always happy to chat! Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

There are a lot of colorful characters in the X-men mythos. I’ve brought in many of those characters in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Some are fairly easy. Deadpool is always a treat and I’ve made sure he’s had his moments. I’ve also tried to capture the charisma of characters like Sinister and Emma Frost. But of all the characters who present a challenge to X-men writers, few are as strange as Mojo.
When I decided to bring Dazzler back into the fold in X-men Supreme, I wanted to include Longshot and Mojo as well. Longshot has longstanding ties with Dazzler in the X-men comics. So bringing him into the Impossible Odds arc wasn’t too much a challenge. But Mojo presented a far greater challenge. His background in the X-men comics is somewhat obscure, but extremely twisted. It was hard enough bringing elements like the Shi’ar into the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Bringing Mojo into the mix proved even harder.
But in X-men Supreme Issue 129: Impossible Odds Part 1, I did it. In this fanfiction series, Mojo is actually Mojo Adams. He’s not this hideous alien creature from another dimension. He’s an oversized, overbearing, and overly energetic visionary who wants to turn the technology of the Danger Room into a form of entertainment. And he’s willing to put Dazzler, Longshot, and the X-men into the crossfire if it gets ratings. This is the Mojo we have in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. He might be very different than his comic counterpart, but he still has the charisma.
It’s one of the less obvious issues in the X-men mythos, but one that has real-world implications. The technology that could create advanced training facilities for the X-men could just as easily create dangerous environments for extreme reality shows. In this world and in the world of X-men Supreme, ratings still drive entertainment. It doesn’t matter how mindless or brutal it is. If it gets ratings, it’s going to get attention and it’s going to make money. Mojo understands this and he’s going to push it to wholly unreasonable extremes in the Impossible Odds arc. Just how extreme is it going to get? Well, I’ve prepared a preview here on this site and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog. If you didn’t hate reality TV enough, you’ll hate it after this.
Characters like Mojo are colorful and strange. That’s part of what gives the X-men their charm. Bring them and Dazzler into the mix and you’ve got a nice entertaining interlude in between battles against killer robots and the Mutant Liberation Front. I know the X-men Supreme fanfiction series deals with some serious issues at times, but I try to make time for fun interludes in between. I consider the Impossible Odds arc one of those interludes. For that reason, it’s important to know that you are sufficiently entertained by Mojo and his antics. So please take the time to provide feedback. Either contact me directly or post your comments in the issue. Either way is fine. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

There have been times where Marvel has actually explored the X-men from the context of being a real minority. Those times seem so long ago since Marvel grew fond of telling and retelling stories centered on the extinction and sterilization of the mutant race. But those kinds of stories are still important for the X-men and if Marvel won’t tell those stories in the comics, then it’s up to me to tell them in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. And of all the characters that can provide insight into this facet of mutant life, Dazzler is in the best position to expand that story.
It’s been a long time since I introduced her into this fanfiction series in X-men Supreme Issue 13: Bedazzled. In Alison Blaire, I created a character whose mutant status both hindered and aided her dream of becoming a successful musician. I purposefully avoided her joining the X-men or some other mutant team, which I know disappointed some readers. But I did that for a reason. I wanted Dazzler to offer insight into the actual experience of being a mutant. It’s an experience that sometimes becomes lost in the X-men’s continued battles against Magneto, Sinister, the Brotherhood of Mutants, or the Mutant Liberation Front. But it’s an important experience to consider within the context of the Charles Xavier’s dream.
A big part of that dream of fostering peace and understanding between humans and mutants means being allowed to pursue one’s goals, passions, and aspirations without fear of bigotry and discrimination. Well, thanks to the recent events surrounding the Mutant Liberation Front in X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell, fear and bigotry of mutants has never been higher. The X-men couldn’t stem the tide and the recent departure of Professor Xavier from the Xavier Institute has only complicated matters. So what does that mean for ordinary mutants like Dazzler?
That’s the question that the next arc, Impossible Odds, will address. Back in X-men Supreme Issue 13: Bedazzled, Dazzler and the X-men were able to turn a potential disaster into a triumph. That triumph did wonders for Dazzler’s music career. But recent events have hit her career hard. Being a mutant, she’s not immune to the events surrounding the Mutant Liberation Front. Mutants are more feared than ever. And since Dazzler’s career has been built around her mutation, it’s going to affect her star power.
Like many stars who were also minorities, Dazzler will have to go the extra mile to continue her success. However, she’ll be facing more challenges than most. Like the real world, X-men Supreme will place more obstacles before her than most. Stars who try to cling to their fame often get desperate. But desperation often breeds foolish decisions. Just ask Fantomex. And in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, this often leads to volatile situations. That situation will involve names and characters that X-men fans should recognize in the best possible way. And I look forward to bringing these characters in to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series.
These are tense times for mutants, both in the comics and in X-men Supreme. I’ll let the comics explore yet another extinction/sterilization plot. I intend to take things in a different direction with X-men Supreme. This fanfiction series will explore plenty of X-men themes. This arc is just the latest. And Dazzler is at the center of it all. She’s a character who has a passionate set of fans. As such, I’d love to hear from those fans. I want to know that I’m doing this character justice, along with every other character in X-men. So either post your feedback directly in the issue or contact me directly. Either way is fine as long and I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Happy New Year fellow X-men fans! It’s 2016 and we’ve got another year ahead of us. It promises to be a big year for X-men with the release of X-men Apocalypse in theaters and X-men: Apocalypse Wars in the comics. While some of these events might get overshadowed by other major comic book movies like Batman v Superman and Captain America: Civil War, there’s still a place for X-men in this mix. And there’s still a place for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series as well. It’s my intent to ensure it contributes to X-men’s success in 2016.
While the X-men’s prevailing themes in 2016 will center around Apocalypse, the X-men Supreme fanfiction series will focus on a different threat. I usually try to link the events of this fanfiction series to other major events going on in the comics or movies, as I did with Wolverine with the Lotus and the Warrior arc. While I can’t say much about Apocalypse in the context of X-men Supreme, I can say that the X-men are facing a dangerous threat that has the potential to upend their world.
And it’s still a threat led by Toad. Yes, I’m talking about the same Toad who has been a walking joke in the Brotherhood of Mutants for most of his existence. I’ve even captured some of it as far back as X-men Supreme Issue 3: Competition. Flash forward to X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation and he’s become a far more menacing threat. He’s the leader and visionary of the Mutant Liberation Front. He already achieved a major victory over the X-men in X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell. That same victory exposed some unpleasant secrets from Professor Charles Xavier, which have left the X-men without its mentor and in a state of chaos.
While the Mutant Liberation Front continues to be the main threat for the X-men, their actions have caused plenty of upheaval for others as well. The next arc of this fanfiction series will explore some of those upheavals. And to do this, I’ll be revisiting a character who hasn’t been seen in this fanfiction series since X-men Supreme Issue 13: Bedazzled. Yes, I’m talking about Dazzler. She’s been off making music, being a pop star in the world of X-men Supreme. However, the activities of the Mutant Liberation Front have undermined her career and the aspirations of every mutant on the planet.
And she’s not the only one either. What happens to a minority when one group gives them a bad name on a global stage? Unfortunately, that question is too easy to answer for some. I’ll explore that answer through the eyes of a new character who will be joining Dazzler in this arc. There are certain aspects of the X-men’s struggle that often get overlooked in terms of how it affects other mutants. This next arc, entitled Impossible Odds, will explore that in a way that’ll put the X-men in a difficult position yet again. As always, I’ve posted a brief preview on this site and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
In addition, I'm still committed to improving this website with added content whenever I can. This time around, I did a quick update of the Archives section by adding direct links to a few stories that are posted off-site, specifically on AdultFanFiction.net. As some readers are already aware, I've been posting "uncut" stories on this site since X-men Supreme began. This includes stories with mature content. Now, I've made this content easier to access. Please remember this content is mature so please keep that in mind.
There are a lot of stories to explore in 2016 for X-men Supreme. This fanfiction series has been unfolding for over half a decade now. Try and put that in perspective. This series began in 2010. It’s been churning along ever since, even as comic book movies have evolved in whole comic book series have been rebooted. I know this fanfiction series will never be on the level of the comics, but I’m still committed to making it as awesome as possible. That’s why I always encourage others to provide feedback. It helps me make X-men Supreme as awesome as it deserves to be. So please, if you can, take the time contact me directly with your comments or post it in the comments section of each issue. I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

The holidays are upon us. The X-men Supreme fanfiction series is about to complete another year of awesome. It started on New Years Day on January 1, 2010. It's about to complete its fifth year. It's amazing to think that this fanfiction series has come so far. It's amazing to contemplate just how much farther it can go, especially as the X-men face so many unique challenges in the comics. But as the rest of us celebrate this festive time, the world of X-men Supreme continues and it's anything but festive.
The X-men suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Mutant Liberation Front. In X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell, Toad of all mutants humbled the X-men while carrying out an attack in Switzerland that left the entire world more vulnerable. Any defeat leaves its share of scars. It's easy to forget that the X-men also lost their first battle against Magneto and the Brotherhood of Mutants in X-men Supreme Issue 3: Competition. It forced the X-men to grow and adapt to new challenges. However, the challenges this time are much more personal and many times more daunting.
At least when they suffered defeat at the hands of the Brotherhood of Mutants, Charles Xavier and the rest of the team was in relatively good health. The same can't be said anymore. It's an issue that emerged at the end of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths. Having already beat cancer a second time in the Starcrossed arc, Charles Xavier is now dealing with a new ailment. His reckless disregard for himself and his health finally caught up with him and he finds himself addicted to potent pain medicine. It's an issue that affects real people. And in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, even the world's most powerful mind isn't immune to it.
It's an issue that I feel has been lacking in the X-men comics lately, the X-men dealing with real issues that real people face. Charles Xavier may be a powerful mind, but in both the comics and this fanfiction series, he's painfully human. And being human, he's capable of becoming addicted to pain pills. It's an addiction that, in the real world, kills more people than hard drugs. And it's an addiction that promises to affect him and his X-men at the worst possible time.
So what do the X-men do when their mentor is no longer capable of being their mentor? How do the X-men function during a time of crisis when the Mutant Liberation Front is running rampant and both President Kelly and General Grimshaw are losing faith in the X-men? That's what this next issue will explore. It's an issue where a defeated team of X-men must adapt while new threats continue to evolve. It's not a threat that involves sterilization or time travel either so rest assured, you won't get this anywhere else.
I know I've been mentioning the X-men comics a lot lately. As an avid comic book fan and X-men fan, I feel compelled to address this situation and relate it to the continued evolution of X-men Supreme. As it stands, there is no other medium for X-men fans to follow. There's no Ultimate X-men. There's no X-men cartoon. As it stands, the X-men Supreme fanfiction series is the only game in town for X-men fans who are dissatisfied with the current state of the comics. That means my efforts to make it awesome are all the more important.
As such, it's vital that X-men fans of all stripes continue to provide feedback for this and any other issue of X-men Supreme. Feedback ensures I can keep making this fanfiction series better and better. Either contact me directly or post your comments directly in the issue. Either way is fine and I'm always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Since the Onslaught Saga of the late 90s, Marvel has done a lot to undermine and discredit the character of Professor Charles Xavier in the X-men comics. From having secret feelings for Jean Grey to keeping secrets about Cyclops’ long lost brother form him, he’s not just the paragon of peace and understanding that inspired the X-men. He’s a flawed individual and that’s fine. It’s perfectly reasonable to humanize a character like Charles Xavier. However, the X-men comics blurred the line between humanizing and denigrating. I hope to keep those lines clearer in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series.
Since this fanfiction series began, I’ve taken a very specific approach to Professor Charles Xavier. He has no secret attractions to his students. He hasn’t wiped the memories of others behind their backs. In X-men Supreme, he does have strong morals. However, he’s also painfully human in the sense that his personal weaknesses often overwhelm him. And I’m not talking about being in a wheelchair either. I made Charles Xavier a cancer survivor in X-men Supreme. There are real people in this world who have been ravaged by cancer and its effects can be felt, even for those who are in remission.
These effects have been plaguing Charles Xavier since the end of X-men Supreme Volume 4: Politics of Fear. While his cancer was effectively cured with the help of the Starjammers in the Starcrossed arc, the effects of all the medications he took to manage his pain have once again caught up to him. Just as he did before, he tried to hide his ailments so he could continue to lead the X-men. And just as before, it ended up hurting him and his X-men.
The events of X-men Supreme Issue 127: Terror Sell marked a dangerous turning point for Charles Xavier. This was the X-men’s first major clash with the Mutant Liberation Front, a dangerous group of mutant terrorists led by former Brotherhood of Mutants member, Toad. And the X-men lost and lost badly because Xavier’s inability to manage his condition caught up with him. It’s one thing to suffer alone, but when that suffering affects his X-men, then Charles Xavier understands that it’s time to make some difficult choices.
These choices will mark the next big shift in X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation. The X-men can’t afford to lose to keep losing to the Mutant Liberation Front. Charles Xavier understands this. His X-men understand this. So what will they do? How will the X-men cope with their mentor’s latest ailments? It marks a dramatic shift in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series and one that’ll make the challenges ahead even more difficult. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview here on this website and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
There are many X-men fans who believe there are significant flaws in the current X-men comics. Some of those flaws go beyond the denigration of Charles Xavier’s character. I sincerely hope that those dissatisfied with the comics will find refuge in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. I do not want X-men Supreme to suffer the same flaws as the comics. In order to keep this fanfiction series awesome, it’s important that I get feedback. If at any point it sounds like X-men Supreme is becoming too much like the current comics, please tell me! I need to know so I can fix it. Either contact me directly with your feedback or post your comments directly in the issues. I’m always happy to chat X-men. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

One of the major appeals of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, as I try to craft it, is that readers can experience stories that can’t be experienced in the current X-men comics. Right now, Cyclops, Wolverine, and Jean Grey are dead in the comics. Mutants are going extinct and have been sterilized. Magneto is running his own team of X-men and there are time-displaced versions of the Original Five X-men running around. While this has attracted a wide audience, it’s currently the only game in town for X-men and that leaves X-men Supreme with a unique opportunity to broaden its appeal.
I understand that this appeal is a double-edged sword. I’ve seen Marvel try to craft that same appeal through their Ultimate comics, including Ultimate X-men. But, as we saw with the decline and eventual cancellation of Ultimate Marvel after Secret Wars, this approach has flaws. I’m determined to avoid those flaws in X-men Supreme. And the setup for X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation is part of that effort.
In the comics, you won’t find a story where Toad is the powerful, menacing leader of the Mutant Liberation Front. You won’t find a story where Mystique has been revealed as Wolverine’s former lover, Rose. You won’t find a story where Rogue and Gambit are developing a blossoming relationship. This says nothing about characters like Cyclops and Jean Grey, who are currently dead in the comics. But what I hope to offer in the coming issues of X-men Supreme is something much bolder than an alternative outlet for X-men fans.
As shown in X-men Supreme Issue 126: Heart Attack, the Mutant Liberation Front operates very differently. They are willing to cause widespread destruction and chaos, just as Magneto did with the Brotherhood of Mutants. However, they are not at all interested in killing humans or mutants. They have a different plan. The extent of that plan has yet to be revealed. But first, they must show they can hold their own against the X-men. And that’s exactly what they’ll do in the latest issue of X-men Supreme.
Just how dangerous is the Mutant Liberation Front? How powerful is Toad? And are the X-men equipped to deal with him? That’s what they’re about to find out. Ongoing personal issues with Gambit and Rogue, as well as Charles Xavier’s health, will still affect them. But will the X-men still be able to fight? Will they be able to defend a world still recovering from the events of Dark Legacy? It’s another story you won’t find anywhere else other than X-men Supreme.
There are many major differences between the X-men Supreme and the current X-men comics. I don’t just want X-men Supreme to appeal because it’s different. I want it to appeal because the stories it tells are awesome. And to do that, it’s still very important that readers take the time to provide feedback for this fanfiction series. I’m always happy to listen. Either post your comments directly in the issue or contact me directly. Either way is fine. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Given all the amazing abilities that some mutants have, it’s easy to forget sometimes that they’re still human. It’s something the X-men constantly have to remind themselves and others in their fight for peace and understanding. In a famous scene from the X-men Animated Series, a Sentinel flat out determined that mutants are human, much to the shock of the humans who hate them. The humanity of the X-men is a big part of what makes them so appealing. I’ve tried to capture that in any number of ways in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series.
Sometimes that means tempering some of the more extreme elements of the X-men mythos to make the narrative of X-men Supreme more engaging. Charles Xavier’s paralysis wasn’t a result of supernatural conflicts. It was a result of cancer, a disease that affects real people. Madelyne Pryor isn’t a clone of Jean Grey in X-men Supreme. She’s Jean’s devious older cousin who fell in with a bad crowd, namely Sinister and Selene. And before Magneto’s plans escalated to throwing asteroids at the planet, he tried to start small by leading an uprising in a country. They still have the essence of X-men, but there are more human elements in the mix.
These sorts of elements are uniquely appropriate for the X-men because they’re a metaphor for minorities. Real life minorities have to deal with human issues. Minorities have to deal with cancer, renegade family members, and uprisings. Once hate and injustice enters the equation, the stage is set for a very dangerous situation. That situation began to unfold in X-men Supreme Issue 126: Heart Attack. Now, the X-men have a new challenge in this fanfiction series and it goes by the Mutant Liberation Front.
This new team of mutant renegades is led by Toad. Yes, I mean THAT Toad. The events of X-men Supreme Issue 110: Supreme Justice have left him empowered, bold, and very dangerous. He now has a new team of mutants who have also suffered injustice and inhumanity. They’re now attacking a world that is already vulnerable after Sinister’s plot with the Legacy Virus. But they’re not the same as Magneto. They’re not the same as the Brotherhood of Mutants. They have a very different approach to dominating humanity.
That approach is still unfolding. You saw hints of it in the previous issue. Now, Toad and his team of mutant radicals are set to do something even bolder and their timing couldn’t be worse for the X-men. At the same time they’re making their presence known, the X-men are dealing with some internal issues that have been brewing since the end of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths. Once again, it’s Charles Xavier who is tasked with leading the X-men into this battle. But is he up to this task? Is he as capable as he’s always been? He’ll have to find out the hard way as the X-men prepare to face the Mutant Liberation Front head on in the next issue. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview here on this site and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
While the situation for mutants is declining in the X-men comics, expect a very different set of challenges for mutants in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. This isn’t an extinction plot. This isn’t a sterilization plot. This a very different, but equally daunting challenge for the X-men and the mutant race to face. I sincerely hope that this fanfiction series will provide X-men fans with a viable outlet, especially since there is no more alternative like Ultimate anymore. I want to make X-men Supreme a viable world for X-men fans and I can’t do that without the continued support of such fans. So please take the time to review and provide feedback. Either contact me directly or post your comments directly on my site. Either way is fine and I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

When it comes to fighting for peace and understanding in a world that hates and fears them, the X-men’s approach has been fairly straightforward. Throughout their history in the comics and throughout the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, the X-men have generally embraced the tenants that Professor Charles Xavier has preached. They confront those who would foster conflict rather than peace. They battle the forces of hatred to encourage peace. The results often vary. In X-men Supreme, it has led to Genosha becoming a mutant-dominated country. It has also caused unrest in mutant communities like District X. But the purpose and intent is usually the same.
With the X-men’s villains, however, the approach is somewhat trickier. The X-men have already encountered their share of villains in this fanfiction series. Their motivations aren’t always the same. Whether it’s Magneto seeking to destroy human dominance with an asteroid or Mr. Sinister seeking to extract the secrets of mutation, the threats to peace and understanding take many different forms. At times it’s downright ambiguous, as has been shown with tenuous allies like General Grimshaw and President Kelly. But in X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation, the X-men will encounter an enemy that takes a wholly unique approach to stirring up conflict.
Enter the Mutant Liberation Front. It’s a group that X-men fans are familiar with from the comics. Today, this group of mutant radicals make their official debut in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. However, this is not like any other enemy mutant group you’ve seen before. These aren’t just an army of mutant radicals following Magneto’s ideals of mutant supremacy. In the world of X-men Supreme, the Mutant Liberation Front is something far more elaborate and much more menacing.
The seeds of this group were already laid back in X-men Supreme Issue 110: Supreme Justice. When an enhanced Toad escaped from Fort Leavenworth prison, he didn’t just leave with a team of fellow mutant prisoners at his side. He left with a plan to succeed where Magneto failed. There’s no question that this plan will directly clash with the X-men’s goals of peace and understanding. There’s also no question that this plan will exploit the recent devastation of the Legacy Virus, which ravaged the world in the Dark Legacy arc. But it’s the method by which that plan will unfold that makes it truly daunting for the X-men.
This is another one of those stories that you won’t see anywhere outside of X-men Supreme. This is a version of Toad and the Mutant Liberation Front that is wholly unique to this fanfiction series. The comics have their own set of circumstances. X-men Supreme will be taking a very different approach. And for those dissatisfied with the comics, I think there will be plenty to enjoy. Expect big things from Toad, Wolverine, Mystique, Rogue, Gambit, and Professor Xavier. And it begins today!
This new era of X-men Supreme will continue to develop the narrative that has been unfolding for the past five years now. It’s a narrative that I want to make as awesome as possible. And while I’m constantly encouraging feedback, there have been those who have been generous enough to provide it. To those who have commented on X-men Supreme, I sincerely thank you. And to those asking about Rogue and Gambit, I say stay tuned! I think you’ll like what you see. But for those who have other comments, please share them. Either contact me directly or post them directly in the issue itself. Either way is fine and both help make the X-men Supreme fanfiction series more awesome. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Fear and uncertainty have gripped the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. It's an oddly appropriate state here on the eve of Halloween. The events of Dark Legacy and the damage left by Sinister have left mutants, humans, and the X-men both vulnerable and anxious. History has shown that when the strong have been weakened, those seeking strength will attempt to seize it.
The X-men's previous enemies, like the Brotherhood of Mutants, are reeling as much as they are. President Kelly, now mourning the death of his son, has lost his appetite for conflict. And the Morlocks, as shown in X-men Supreme Issue 5.1: Deceptive Revelation, have been disbanded. The time couldn't be better for a new, menacing threat to emerge. And that threat is going to be the centerpiece of the next era of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. That's why I'm pround to make this official. X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation is about to begin.
Like previous volumes of X-men Supreme, the foundation for this one were already laid in events that might have flown under the radar. The first hints of this new conflict began back during the Cambrian Explosion arc in X-men Supreme Volume 4: Politics of Fear. During that arc, Toad spent most of his time in a prison cell. Often seen as the Brotherhood of Mutants' least competent member, Magneto and his team didn't seem to care when he got captured during a clash at Worthington Industries in the Test Subject arc. But while in prison, something strange happened to Toad. Now, he's about to become more menacing and more dangerous than anyone the X-men have ever faced.
Yes, you heard that right. Toad is going to become a top-level villain in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Let that sink in for a moment. Toad, as a character, has been a classic pushover. From the earliest days in Uncanny X-men to his brief role in the X-men movies, he's never been more than a joke of a character. But I think characters like that have something to prove. And in X-men Supreme Issue 110: Supreme Justice, Toad took the first step towards proving himself.
Thanks to the effects of the Cambrian, Toad is now bigger and badder than he's ever been in the history of X-men. He helped a group of mutants who have never known justice escape. Now, with Magneto still missing and Sinister having been defeated, the world is ripe for Toad to rise to power. He will now lead the Mutant Liberation Front, a group X-men fans should know well, into this new era of X-men Supreme. It's an era that's going to have many upheavals, especially for charcters like Charles Xavier, Rogue, Mystique, Wolverine, and so many more. As such, I’ve prepared a brief preview here on this website and on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
I have X-men Supreme Volume 6: Liberation Decimation all planned out. I have every intention of seeing it through to the end. But as I've previously announced, updates will not be as regular. I worked long and hard to make sure that previous volumes of X-men Supreme were updated on a biweekly schedule. Between a lack of feedback and the emergence of other projects, I'm going to have to change that schedule. Now I don't intend for X-men Supreme to be subject to the same delays as Secret Wars. But moving forward, I will be updating less regularly.
However, that can change. If feedback for X-men Supreme grows, then I will consider resuming biweekly updates. That decision will be based solely on the extent of the feedback I get. As always, I strongly encourage everyone to take the time to review. Either post your comments in the issue or contact me directly. I have gotten some wonderful feedback, but it's sporadic and limited. I want to keep making X-men Supreme awesome. And I can't do that without consistent feedback. So please let me know so we can both make this fanfiction series as awesome as it can be. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

It’s almost here. The next volume of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series is upon us. The X-men are about to enter a world that was devastated by the Legacy Virus. This is a world where humans and mutants alike are vulnerable. It’s only a matter of time before someone exploits this situation. It’s bound to put the X-men in many difficult situations. It comes at a time when characters like Wolverine, Mystique, Rogue, and Professor Charles Xavier are going through major upheavals. But before they enter that world, it’s important for that world to have some context.
That’s exactly what X-men Supreme Issue 5.1: Deceptive Revelation is going to provide. This is a story that takes place before the conflict in X-men Supreme Volume 6 starts to unfold. It’s the calm before the storm. The world is recovering and so is Mystique. After the revelations in Dark Legacy, she’s deeply torn about her identity. She now knows that before she was Raven Darkholme, she was Rose. She was Wolverine’s lover and a former member of Team X. She’s lived her whole life under false identities. How does she live life by having one of her own?
It’s a side to Mystique that has not been explored in the X-men comics. For the past decade, Mystique has only ever functioned as an unapologetic killer and sociopath whose only purpose is to frustrate the X-men. I didn’t want that for her in X-men Supreme. That’s why I focused heavily on Mystique’s relationship to Nightcrawler and Rogue, as I’ve shown in arcs like Uprising and Family and Fiends. But I didn’t just want to stop at her kids. I wanted Mystique to have other motivations. I also wanted her to have an actual backstory, something Marvel probably won’t provide anytime soon.
That’s what I hope will help set the X-men Supreme fanfiction series apart for X-men fans. In this series, Mystique is more than just a shape-shifting sociopath. Like the wounded world around her, she’s going to be recovering from the damage done by the Legacy Virus. In doing so, she’ll reveal the kind of character she’ll be moving forward in X-men Supreme. It’s an important story and an important transition at this stage in X-men Supreme. And I’m proud to offer it to Mystique fans and X-men fans of all kinds.
The stage is now set. Mystique has a new identity. At the same time, a new threat is emerging that is poised to strike a vulnerable world. Both Mystique and the X-men are set to face a very different kind of challenge. This isn’t Magneto. This isn’t Sinister. This isn’t even Bolivar Trask and his Sentinels. This is a dangerous new threat that’s going to complicate the X-men’s mission in ways they’ve never trained for.
While I’m intent on expanding this story, please keep in mind that updates will not be as regular anymore. The decline in feedback has made it difficult to keep to the biweekly schedule I’ve kept since X-men Supreme began. I’ll announce the schedule as I make preparations. But that schedule can change if feedback significantly increases. I’m always open to it. Either submit it to me directly via email or post your comments directly in the issue. Either way is fine. I hope X-men Supreme continues to grow and flourish. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

It’s that time of year again. The leaves are changing. The air is getting colder. Winter is coming. It’s oddly appropriate for the current status of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. The events of the Dark Legacy arc have had a cold, chilling effect on the X-men’s world. When Sinister unleashed the Legacy Virus, he unleashed a devastating force that swept across every corner of the world. It didn’t just affect mutants either. Humans suffered as well. It didn’t matter who they were, what genes they had, or how they felt about human/mutant conflict. They were all equally vulnerable to Sinister’s wrath. The X-men’s own John “Thunderbird” Proudstar and even President Kelly’s own son succumbed.
It’s a dangerous world for the X-men. And it’s a world that the next entry of X-men Supreme will explore in greater detail. But before I begin the next phase of this fanfiction series, I feel as though it needs a transition of sorts. A few years ago, Marvel Comics began a new initiative called point one. This initiative created comics that were meant to be transition comics or jumping on points for new readers. It’s an initiative that I feel has a lot of merit, so much so that I’ve utilized it myself with special issues like X-men Supreme Issue 0: Revelation X and X-men Supreme Issue 3.1: Sin City Shenanigans. I didn’t do an issue after X-men Supreme Volume 4: Politics of Fear because I didn’t feel one was necessary for the progression of this fanfiction series. But after the events of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths, I think it’s warranted.
So with that, I’m officially announcing X-men Supreme Issue 5.1: Deceptive Revelation. This issue will act as a transition issue that should help get readers up to speed on the current situation within this fanfiction series. It officially takes place between the final issue of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths and the first issue of X-men Supreme Volume 6, which I’ve yet to announce. It’s a simple, self-contained story that should help set the tone for what X-men Supreme is going to become. And the character who will guide that story is Mystique.
I’ve already given Mystique some significant insight with her entry in X-men Supreme Reflections. And after the shocking revelations that occurred in X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths, I think she’s the most appropriate character with which to tell this story. Her life has been completely turned upside down and inside out after the events of the Dark Legacy arc. She just recently learned that before she was Mystique, she was Rose, a former lover of Wolverine. She died at the hands of what would become Weapon X, but Sinister brought her back to life. She didn’t remember her previous life though. She only remembered the alias she went by, Raven Darkholme.
Now, as she adjusts to these revelations, Mystique will find herself in an unfamiliar situation in X-men Supreme. For the first time in her existence, she has a life she can call her own. She has an identity that she didn’t have to steal. What does this mean for her? What will it mean for the X-men, Wolverine, and the future of this fanfiction series? New threats are already emerging and the world is vulnerable for humans and mutants alike. Mystique will find herself at the forefront of this new conflict and it begins with X-men Supreme Issue 5.1: Deceptive Revelation. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview here on this website and on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
This one-shot story will act as a prelude of sorts to X-men Supreme Volume 6. As I announced at the end of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths, I won’t be updating as often as I have I the past. Rest assured, I won’t let X-men Supreme be subject to the same delays as Marvel has allowed with Secret Wars and Uncanny X-men #600. The reason I’m limiting these updates is because the lack of feedback and reviews has made it difficult to keep this schedule. I am pursuing other projects and if there isn’t a lot of support for this fanfiction series, I find it hard to justify dedicating as much time to it. I’m still committed to telling the story of X-men Supreme. But for now, it’s going to be more limited.
That can change though. If I get an influx of feedback and reviews, I will reconsider my current update schedule. You can always submit your feedback to me by contacting me directly or posting your comments directly in the issue. Either is fine and I’m always happy to chat X-men. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

What is it about a character like Mystique that makes her so endearing to the X-men mythos? Without a doubt, she’s one of the X-men’s most iconic villains. Over the X-men’s 50-year history, she’s found creative ways to torment them and complicate their struggles. At times, she’s actually been an ally, but never for long. X-men fans of all kinds know that as soon as Mystique shows up, they can expect the story to take some major twists. And the X-men can usually expect some major challenges as well.
That distinct mystique that makes Mystique so endearing is a big part of the character I’ve utilized in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. She was among the first characters to show up in X-men Supreme, acting as one of Magneto’s top agents during X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. Her role was pretty basic at first. She was an enemy who worked for the X-men’s greatest rivals. But as X-men Supreme unfolded, her motivations and her roles changed a great deal.
During X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers, I revealed that Mystique’s sole purpose for helping Magneto was to protect Rogue and Nightcrawler. And later during X-men Supreme Volume 3: Ashes of Hope, she ended up helping the X-men when they took on the Inner Circle. She’s always had her own agenda and it doesn’t matter who gets in her way. She’s going to do whatever it takes to get the job done. That’s what makes her so dangerous to the X-men. It’s also what makes her so good at what she does. But despite her long and complicated history with the X-men, she still remains a mystery.
The X-men comics have done a poor job of exploring Mystique’s backstory. The X-men movies have done a slightly better job, tying her story into that of Charles Xavier’s. However, with X-men Supreme, I’ve taken a different approach from both the comics and movies. In this fanfiction series, I’ve given Mystique’s story a twist that puts her in uncharted territory within the X-men mythos. It eventually culminated in X-men Supreme Issue 120: Sinister Revelations where Sinister revealed that Mystique was actually Rose, the former lover of Wolverine. Her life as Rose is now tied to her life as Mystique. How will this affect her? How will this affect Wolverine, Rogue, Nightcrawler, and the X-men as a whole?
This might very well be the most important entry of X-men Supreme Reflections to date. I’m not just providing insight into who Mystique is within the context of this fanfiction series. I’m providing context to who she’ll be moving forward as X-men Supreme continues to unfold. The Mystique that will emerge in X-men Supreme is a Mystique you won’t find anywhere else. So this is one story that Mystique fans definitely won’t want to miss.
And since I finally got around to updating Mystique’s pics section last week, I’ve done a few more updates since then. This time I’ve updated Storm, Psylocke, Shadowcat, and the Scarlet Witch.
With Mystique’s entry, X-men Supreme Reflections Volume 5 has come to an end. I’ve taken the time to explore these characters and provide greater depth within the scope of X-men Supreme. Now, the story is set to continue. But in order to make this story as awesome as it can be, it’s very important that I continue to receive feedback and reviews. I’m always open to hearing from readers and X-men fans. Your feedback helps me make X-men Supreme as awesome as it can be. So please contact me with your comments or post them directly in the issue. Either is fine. Please stay tuned for more X-men Supreme announcements in the coming weeks. Until then, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

When it comes to villains, the X-men have more than their share of iconic characters. A big part of what makes X-men so special and so relevant is that their villains never come off as wholly evil. Sometimes, they even come off as painfully rare, as is often the case with characters like Gryadon Creed or Cameron Hodge. The X-men Supreme fanfiction series has used a number of major villains such as Magneto, Sinister, Hodge, and Creed. I've made it a point to capture the essence of what makes them so compelling as villains in the X-men mythos. But there's one X-men character whose villainous past is much harder to capture and that character is Mystique.
Of all the great X-men villains that have emerged over the past 50 years, Mystique holds a special place for me personally. It's not just her shape-shifting cunning or her natural sexiness that appeals. She's another one of those X-men characters who likes to navigate that gray area between good and evil. Sometimes she favors one side more than the other, as is often the case when she has to deal with her children in Rogue and Nightcrawler. I always had plans to use her in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. However, it wasn't until X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers that I came up with a plan that would set Mystique completely apart from her Marvel Comics counterpart.
There's no quesiton that Mystique is an iconic X-men character. But as iconic as she is, she's somewhat of an anomoly in the X-men mythos in that Marvel hasn't really made much effort to refine her character. Whereas the background story for Magneto, Sinister, and Graydon Creed are all well-documented, there's absolutely no story for Mystique. There's no clue as to where she grew up, where she came from, what her family was like, and what led her into a life of deviance. Despite decades of clashing with the X-men, Marvel has not really answered any of these burning questions. With X-men Supreme, I dared to try and answer.
It began with a subtle hint in the Overlord arc that Mystique knew Wolverine from a previous life. Through numerous volumes of X-men Supreme that followed, I dropped more and more hints that there was a connection. Then, in X-men Supreme Issue 120: Sinister Revelations, the secret finally came out. Mystique wasn't always Raven Darkholme. In a life she no longer remembers, she was Rose, who was Wolverine's first love. That revelation completely shook her world and Wolverine's as well. It was, by far, the biggest revelation to date in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. And of all the major twists I've done in this fanfiction series, this revelation with Mystique is something I'm very proud of.
Right now, the Mystique in Marvel Comics is not a very deep character. Since the mid-2000s, she hasn't had any real depth. She's just been an unapologetic sociopath whose only purpose is to torment the X-men. Well in X-men Supreme, she now knows her true past. She knows how she became Mystique and how she ended up on her current path. The question is where will she go from here? What will she do? That makes the next and final entry of X-men Supreme Reflections Volume 5 one of the most important entries to date. For fans of Mystique who aren't getting anything out of the comics, you won't want to miss this. I've prepared a brief preview on this website and an extented preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
And in the spirit of giving Mystique the development and story that the comics won't, I've given her pics section an overdue update. I know I've been negating that section lately. I hope to change that because I have been collecting plenty of pics on the side. So for Mystique fans, I hope this makes your week.
Mystique's story is one of the major details that sets the X-men Supreme fanfiction series apart from the current X-men comics. It's a story you can't get anywhere else and one Marvel will likely never tell. This means I have even more incentive to make it as awesome as possible. Since I have decided to continue X-men Supreme into Volume 6, expect to see more of Mystique in this new role. And I want to make her awesome in a way that can't be found in the comics either. To do that, I still need feedback from readers. So please take the time to contact me with your kind words or post your comments directly in the issues. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

There are certain characters in the vast X-men mythos who have never been sufficiently developed. In the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, I’ve done as much as I can to develop some of these characters. Some of these characters are essentially blank slates in that Marvel never really put a lot of energy into giving them a past and future with the larger X-men world. That’s entirely understandable. Given the popularity of characters like Wolverine and Storm, there isn’t always enough time or energy to develop all these characters. But sometimes, potentially great characters slip through the cracks. In X-men Supreme, however, I don’t want that to happen with characters who have the potential of Sage.
In the early 2000s, Chris Clarmeont and Grant Morrison were the primary architects of the X-men comics. They were also the last major X-men writers to give Sage major roles. There was a time when she rubbed elbows with Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, and Wolverine. Then, she just fell to the wayside for reasons that were never explained. That’s not to say she was thrown away. That tends to happen in the X-men comics with certain characters. But I always had a soft spot for Sage and when I started the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, I had a plan for her.
That plan began to unfold in X-men Supreme Issue 54: District X Part 3. In that issue, Sage became more than just a string of emails that had been communicating with Beast. I didn’t just want her to be the woman who broke up Beast and Storm. I wanted her to have her own unique backstory. It’s something the X-men comics haven’t really explored that much. But in order to best tell her story in X-men Supreme, I need to offer insight into who she was before she was ever involved with Beast, the X-men, or the Inner Circle.
I gave a major clue to that backstory during the Civilization No Longer Lost arc in X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths. In that arc, Sage revealed some of her sordid history with Sebastian Shaw and the Inner Circle. She revealed that she had once been cold, calculating, and ruthless in her ambitions. She was once the kind of woman that the X-men would’ve fought against. It was a difficult test for her relationship with Beast. That dark period in her life even came back to haunt her and the X-men in the Fantomex arc.
But what led Sage into this dark world? How did she end up becoming so ruthless and cold? And how did she escape that world? That’s a story that requires more insight into a character that hasn’t been prominent in the X-men comics for over a decade. But it’s an important story to the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. I know Sage does have a loyal contingent of fans, as many X-men characters do. This entry of X-men Supreme Reflections will give her a story that shows who she is and how she got to this point. It’s a story I look forward to exploring in later issues.
The X-men Supreme fanfiction series has given me many opportunities to develop characters that wouldn’t otherwise be developed in other mediums of X-men. As a fan, it has given me an even greater appreciation for these characters. It has also given me a greater appreciation of the sheer breadth of the X-men mythos. There’s so much to explore and it continues to expand every month. I doubt I’ll ever be able to encompass every area of the X-men’s universe, but I’ll certainly do my best to make the areas I do explore as awesome as possible.
And that’s why getting feedback from readers is so important. Like I said, Sage has a loyal contingent of fans. I really do hope to hear from them and every other X-men fan with this entry of X-men Supreme Reflections. Either contact me directly with your comments or post them directly in the comments section. Either way is fine. I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Throughout the history of X-men, there are certain characters who simply slip into obscurity. They're not neglected or negated. They're just set aside and forgotten about. Given the size and scope of X-men, that's to be expected. But sometimes, that means potentially great characters don't get a chance to realize their greatness. WIth the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, I hope to provide opportunities to some of those characters. I was able to do it with Thunderbird back in X-men Supreme Volume 2: War Powers. He's a character who was unceremoniously killed off in the earlier days of X-men. I took him and made him a vital component to the development of the X-men in X-men Supreme. Now, I want to do something similar for Sage.
There was a time in the early 2000s where Sage was a semi-major character in the X-men comics. But, like so many other X-men characters, she fell to the wayside and slipped into obscurity. I always felt she had more potential than Marvel attempted to realize. So I wanted her to have a major role in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series at some point. She eventually found that role as Hank McCoy's secret love interest. This role emerged out of the events of the Uprising arc in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. It caused significant strain between Beast and Storm, who had been dating at the time. Eventually, that strain proved to be too much and that relationship ended during the Cajun Chaos arc.
However, the strain Sage caused for Beast eventually became something more meaningful. They continued corresponding over the internet for a while. Then, it finally blossomed into something deeper. They finally came face-to-face in X-men Supreme Issue 54: District X Part 3. On that fateful moment, Sage and Beast became romantically involved. As such, her story became entwined with the X-men.
Throughout this tumultuous process, I've revealed a few bits and pieces about who Sage is in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. In addition to aiding the X-men through Beast, she's also one of the founding members of District X, the mutant community in New York City. With her telepathy and computer-like mind, she helps manage this community with Bishop, Jubilee, and Multiple. That makes her an important ally to the X-men. She seeks to aid mutants and foster peaceful coexistance with humans. However, this is only a sliver of Sage's story in X-men Supreme.
During the events of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths, I began digging a little deeper into Sage's personal journey. It happened in the Civilization No Longer Lost arc. In a side-story that took place in conjunction with the Nova Roma conflict, it was revealed that Sage had close ties to Sebastian Shaw and the Inner Circle. She admitted outright to Beast that she once navigated this dark world. Moreover, she did it willingly. She did it out of greed and ambition. These activities eventually led to the development of Fantomex during the Weapon Plus arc. These developments have put a significant burden on her in a way that even her powerful mind can't process.
But what led to that burden? Why did Sage enter the dark world of the Inner Circle in X-men Supreme? After what she went through in X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths, I think this is the best possible time to explore her character in the pages of X-men Supreme Reflections. So for those Sage fans who haven't gotten a lot from Marvel, this is for you. I've prepared a brief preview on this website and an extented preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
There are a lot of characters like Sage in the X-men mythos who haven't really had a chance to shine. By giving them more prominent roles in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, it helps me set this world of X-men apart from the ongoing story in the comics. There's are so many characters and stories to explore. I doubt I'll ever be able to get to them all. But that's not going to stop me from trying. And that's not going to stop me from making characters like Sage as awesome as they can be. But in order to know if I'm making them sufficiently awesome, it's important that I get feedback and reviews from readers. Either contact me directly with your comments or post them in each issue. Either way is fine. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Throughout X-men Supreme’s history, there have been a handful of moments I’m especially proud of. The growth of the Scarlet Witch from dutiful daughter to leader of Genosha is one of them. The X-men Supreme take of the Phoenix Saga is another. The revelation about Mystique being Rose, Wolverine’s first love, is the most recent. However, I think I can say with a fair amount of confidence that I’m especially proud with this latest entry in this fanfiction series.
X-men Supreme Reflections has become a great avenue to explore the hearts and minds of certain characters. There’s only so much I can do in the main series. Sometimes, it’s necessary to take a character aside, let them explore their own thoughts, and flesh out their persona in all the right ways. Certain characters, like Wolverine and Storm, have very definitive personalities that are woven right into the fabric of the X-men mythos. I think Emma Frost is definitely one of those personalities. Thanks largely to her development under Grant Morrison in his New X-men run, Emma Frost has made the transition from villainous vixen to an foundational member of the X-men.
As such, it’s very important that I capture the essence of Emma Frost when incorporating her into the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. I established back during the X-men Supreme Phoenix Saga that Emma Frost’s ties to the X-men, the Hellfire Club, and the Inner Circle are different in this fanfiction series compared to the comics. She was actually one of the early members of the X-men who escaped the clutches of the Inner Circle before she could completely embrace her role as the White Queen. She was also Cyclops’ first girlfriend. Then, during the Prison Break arc, I revealed some of the reasons why Emma Frost left the X-men and why she betrayed them during the Phoenix Saga.
As in the comics, many of Emma’s personal demons come from her difficult family upbringing and the Inner Circle. It’s the Inner Circle, particularly Sebastian Shaw, who dictated a lot of her actions after she entered the picture in X-men Supreme. Now, she’s free of his influence, thanks largely to Cyclops and Jean Grey. However, her role in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series is still evolving and it will continue to evolve into X-men Supreme Volume 6. That’s why her entry into X-men Supreme Reflections is so vital.
It’s also why I’m especially proud of how I’ve refined Emma Frost through this series. Few characters in the X-men mythos inspire quite as much passion and division as Emma Frost. With this fanfiction series, I wanted to flesh out the elements that make her so endearing and iconic. I’ve tried to do that as best I can in the main series. However, I believe it’s this entry of X-men Supreme Reflections that best reflect the best of Emma Frost. I hope Emma fans agree and I hope they look forward to seeing her grow in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series as much as me.
As I’ve stated before, Emma Frost has some very passionate fans. She’s among the many X-men characters that inspire a special level of passion. For that very reason, I want to be respectful of these characters and develop them in the most awesome way possible. That includes Emma Frost. I’m especially interested in hearing from her fans for this entry of X-men Supreme Reflections. Please take the time to review this issue or contact me directly. I’m always happy to talk X-men, Emma Frost, and everything in between. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

There are certain characters that inspire a special level of passion. And of the many characters in the X-men mythos, few inspire the kind of passion generated by Emma Frost. She’s a character that has undergone many changes and transformations throughout the history of X-men. I’ve had her go through more than a few here in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Just like the X-men comics, I introduced Emma Frost during the X-men Supreme Phoenix Saga. She played a critical role in luring Jean Grey into the clutches of the Inner Circle. While it was later revealed that Emma Frost did not do this of her own volition, it highlights some of the core themes about her character.
Emma Frost, in her many incarnations, has often been at the mercy of moral ambiguity. She comes from a world of wealth and privilege. She trained herself to navigate these morally ambiguous areas to get ahead. There have been times when this has made her an enemy of the X-men. As the White Queen, she was once the X-men’s most daunting psychic foe. But Emma Frost is not someone who lets herself get lost in these morally gray areas. She never lets herself become like Sebastian Shaw, Selene, or Sinister. She’s never let herself become a girl scout either. And that’s one of the major appeals of her character.
When it comes to fighting the kinds of battles that the X-men fight, it’s not always possible to be completely moral and completely ethical. There are many in the X-men, especially Professor Xavier, who aren’t willing to compromise those ethics to get the job done. Emma Frost, however, is willing. She’s shown this time and again throughout her history in the comics. Over time, she has distanced herself from the devious traditions of the Inner Circle. However, she still maintains a distinctly harsh, yet charming personality that many have come to love.
I’ve done my best to capture that personality in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. That doesn’t just mean giving her the necessary ties to the Inner Circle. Emma Frost has a number of circumstances in X-men Supreme that set her apart from the comics. As I revealed in the X-men Supreme Phoenix Saga, she was an early member of the X-men. Later on in X-men Supreme Issue 99: Escaping Destiny, I revealed that Emma Frost left the Inner Circle when she found out they used her eggs to make clones that Sebastian Shaw called the Stepford Cuckoos. This path has taken her in many directions throughout X-men Supreme, but there’s a lot more to learn about who Emma Frost is.
I’ve been waiting quite a while to do an entry of X-men Supreme Reflections for Emma, as I’m sure her passionate fans have as well. I had to wait because I wanted to make sure the story surrounding the Stepford Cuckoos and her betrayal of the X-men in the Phoenix Saga was explained. These events firmly entrench Emma Frost in that morally gray world that she’s so comfortable in. And even though she’s now the headmaster of the Academy of Tomorrow, she’s still going to have to navigate that world. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview on the X-men Supreme website and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
Characters like Emma Frost are important for the future of X-men Supreme because she’s one of those characters that fans care deeply about. I want to respect that passion as much as possible. With recent news that Emma Frost will be among the X-men who are MIA after Secret Wars, I want to give her fans something they can enjoy until she returns. That’s why it’s very important for her fans and X-men fans in general to continue to provide feedback on my handling of this fanfiction series. Either contact me directly or post your comments in the issues. I’m always open to feedback. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Throughout the history of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, I’ve tried to create opportunities for certain characters to shine. Major characters like Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm will always have those opportunities. That’s why I’ve tried to go out of my way to give similar opportunities to characters like Thunderbird, Sage, and Polaris. Now, I’m giving that opportunity to James “Warpath” Proudstar. He’s not going to get that opportunity in the current X-men comics. He will get this opportunity in X-men Supreme.
Warpath has been a part of X-men Supreme for quite some time now. I introduced him as the muscle behind Emma Frost’s road to redemption after the events of the Phoenix Saga. I have hinted at his history on some occasions. The only time I’ve really touched on it is X-men Supreme Issue 104: School Daze where I reveal he has a less than stellar record with the X-men and mutants as a whole. He’s someone who has made his share of mistakes in life. For a time, he was an adversary of the X-men and some haven’t forgotten about that. But like Wolverine and Emma Frost, he’s getting an opportunity for redemption, albeit due to tragedy.
The events of the Dark Legacy arc have shaken Warpath’s world in a way few things can. In this battle, for which he played a pivotal role, his brother, Thunderbird, died. In the aftermath, he freely admits that Thunderbird was the better warrior. He did the right thing when he had the opportunity. He joined the X-men, trained them to become the heroes they became, and gave his life to save a world that was at Sinister’s mercy. This leaves Warpath in a vulnerable and uncertain position.
I have major plans for Warpath in X-men Supreme Volume 6. But before any of those plans can unfold, it’s important to dig a little deeper into who Warpath is in the context of X-men Supreme. His journey to this pivotal point in his life where he’s coping with Thunderbird’s death was not an easy one. By knowing that journey, I believe everyone will appreciate the story that unfolds in the next phase of X-men Supreme. That’s exactly what I hope to accomplish with the latest entry of X-men Supreme Reflections.
There are still plenty of opportunities for plenty of characters in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Given the breadth of the X-men mythos, it’s impossible to cover every one of them. However, I’ll still make the effort. That I can promise. With every character that plays a part in X-men Supreme, I’m determined to do them justice. I know there’s a lot of love and passion for the X-men. I want to make sure that every character I explore, including Warpath, respects those feelings. To do that, it’s very important that I get feedback for this and the rest of the X-men Supreme mythos. Either contact me directly or post your feedback directly in the issue. Either way is fine. I’m always happy to chat and listen to constructive criticism. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Throughout the history of X-men, there have been characters that have had the potential to be awesome, but not the opportunity. Oftentimes, those characters are stuck in the shadows of others. It used to be that characters like Jubilee and X-23 were indelibly linked to Wolverine’s story. Over time, they managed to branch out and thrive on their own accord. X-23 has just started that process in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. In Marvel’s ongoing X-men comics, she’s taking it a step further by taking on Wolverine’s mantel. Characters like X-23 are proof that it is possible for one character to emerge from the shadow of another.
One character in particular has been stuck time and again, both in Marvel’s X-men comics and in X-men Supreme. Back in X-men Supreme Issue 31: Memory Musings, I established a place for Thunderbird in this fanfiction series. His story unfolded in new directions that he never got a chance to in the comics. He was the one who trained the X-men. He helped them become what they are. However, he was unable to do this for his younger brother, Warpath. Now, like it or not, Warpath must carry on Thunderbird’s legacy in X-men Supreme.
In the comics, Warpath is one of those characters who only occasionally shows up and never gets a chance to develop. He hasn’t had a lot of chances in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series either. He first showed up in X-men Supreme Issue 71: Election Day as a less-than-willing ally of Emma Frost. Since then, I’ve hinted at bits and pieces of his persona. He’s not quite as honorable or as dutiful as his older brother. He got into his share of trouble, which put him at odds with the X-men. They have good reasons not to trust him. I haven’t had time to explore those reasons. After the death of Thunderbird in X-men Supreme Issue 124: Dark Legacy Part 4, I think it’s important to reveal just who James Proudstar is.
As such, he will be the next focus of X-men Supreme Reflections Volume 5. With the death of his brother, Warpath’s life will never be the same. Even for those who have lost their way, the death of a loved one has a way of putting things back into perspective. This is what Warpath will have to deal with as X-men Supreme continues into Volume 6. However, the burdens of his past will still follow him. I’ll be revealing some of those burdens and explore how they affect him as this fanfiction series unfolds. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview on this site and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
I know characters like Warpath don’t have the same following as Wolverine or Storm. However, I want as many characters as possible to shine in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. A big part of what makes the X-men great is its ability to help characters shine. It’s what allows characters like X-23, Jubilee, and Gambit to become the icons they are now. And I want to give as many characters as I can a chance to capture that spirit. As always, I strongly urge everybody to provide feedback so I can know that I’m sufficiently capturing that spirit. Either contact me directly or post your feedback right in each issue. Either way is fine and I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

The plan for the next era of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series is officially in progress. The story of the X-men in this unique world is set to take many new twists and turns. But before it can move forward, there are some loose ends from the past that I feel need to be resolved. One of the reasons I began X-men Supreme Reflections was because I found it difficult to explore a certain character's persona within the pages of the main X-men Supreme series. I knew when I began X-men Supreme that I wanted to give these characters as much development as I could, but I also knew I had to still tell an awesome story. It's not always possible to do both, but X-men Supreme Reflections gives me a chance.
Numerous characters have gone through many changes throughout the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Characters like Wolverine have uncovered painful secrets about his life in Weapon X and the life he tried to build in Japan. Characters like Cyclops have dealt with conflicts surrounding his brother, Havok, and his numerous romances that eventually led to his current relationship with Jean Grey. And characters like Wanda Maximoff have had to undergo many changes between being Magneto's loyal daughter to being Genosha's leader. Each one of these characters has a personality from the mythos of X-men that I've tried to capture. Fans who like Cyclops, Wolverine, and the Scarlet Witch in the comics should find some familiar traits to enjoy here in X-men Supreme. However, the same can't be said for Jack Freeman.
I waited a long time into the development of X-men Supreme before I introduced an original character that would be unique to this fanfiction series. In fact, I waited until the 75th issues during X-men Supreme Issue 75: Renegade. It was an important moment for me because I understand that people don't read X-men Supreme to see my characters. They read X-men Supreme to read about the X-men. However, I wanted to make Jack Freeman a character who is a major part of the X-men's story. I've seen one too many original characters in fanfiction essentially subvert the story of X-men for the sake of the character. I didn't want that to happen with Jack Freeman. I like to think I've succeeded, but I want to do more with him.
Since his introduction, I've developed Jack a number of ways. I've established that he is not a particularly smart individual and lacks overall social skills, but he is a dedicated and driven young man. He comes from a troubled background. He doesn't have a lot of family ties. The closest thing he has to family is his superior officer, General Nathan Grimshaw. He's also not a big fan of the X-men. In fact, he went out of his way to distance himself from them because he wants to be a soldier first and a mutant last. It puts him in a difficult position in the human/mutant conflict. But there are still a lot of unanswered questions about this character.
I don't expect as many X-men fans to be overly curious about Jack Freeman as they are about other X-men. However, Jack Freeman's story is important to understand for the future of X-men Supreme. He will continue to play a role in this fanfiction series and that role will evolve, along with the rest of the X-men. And with this entry of X-men Supreme Reflections, I hope people will have a better understanding and appreciation for this character. Remember, this is not a character you'll find in Marvel's mainline comics. You can only get him here at X-men Supreme.
The next entry of X-men Supreme Reflections will get back to more familiar characters, but I hope readers will find something to like about Jack Freeman. I don't want him to be a generic original character that detracts from the main narrative. X-men Supreme is still an X-men story at heart. And that's how I want it to remain for however long it continues. But part of making X-men Supreme awesome is knowing when I'm doing something awesome and when I'm not. That's why it's extra important that I get feedback on Jack Freeman and the X-men Supreme fanfiction series as a whole. So please take the time to contact me directly with your feedback or post your comments directly in the issue. Let me know so I can make X-men Supreme more awesome. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

It’s truly official now. The X-men Supreme fanfiction series will continue. The response I got from the conclusion of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths was overwhelmingly positive. A lot of readers came out and let me know how much they had been enjoying this fanfiction series. Those who had been following X-men Supreme but never reviewed it finally took the time to let me know how much they’ve enjoyed this world I’ve crafted. To those people, I can’t thank you enough. Such support has helped inspire me to keep making X-men Supreme better. I know I left this fanfiction series in a vulnerable state. A lot of that had to do with me making it so I could end the series there if I decided. But that’s not happening. There’s still plenty of story to tell in the world of X-men Supreme.
As I’ve done with previous volumes of this fanfiction series, I’m going to do another entry of the Supreme Reflections mini-series before launching Volume 6. There were a lot of dramatic developments in X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths that affected a lot of characters. But there were some characters that were more affected than others. For all of its 50-year history, X-men has succeed on the strength of its characters. But as over a 100 issues of this fanfiction series has shown me, it’s hard to find time to develop all of them. So a mini-series like Supreme Reflections gives me some time to focus on these characters in a way I couldn’t during the main story.
And the first character I’ll be focusing on is a character that you won’t get to explore anywhere outside of X-men Supreme. Of course, I’m talking about Captain Jack Freeman. He’s one of the handful of original characters I’ve crafted for this fanfiction series. I knew from the beginning of X-men Supreme that I would be making a few characters to call my own, but I understand that the appeal of X-men Supreme would be the more established characters. That’s why I waited so long until X-men Supreme Issue 75: Renegade to introduce him. I don’t expect him to be anyone’s favorite, but I wanted him and General Nathan Grimshaw to act as a catalyst in this fanfiction series. They won’t dominate the plot, as a lot of OCs tend to do in fanfiction. But they will be part of the struggle.
For Captain Freeman, that struggle has taken on dimensions his training as a Green Beret never prepared him for. He hasn’t exactly been on the same page as the X-men or General Grimshaw at times. He’s very much a character who is uncertain of his place in the human/mutant conflict. He wants to be a soldier first and a mutant second, but that’s not always possible. He represents the part of the mutant population who doesn’t want to be defined by his mutant status. But at the same time, he struggles to avoid it. He admits he’s not very smart and he is prone to making the wrong decisions. And yes, he will have a major role in X-men Supreme Volume 6.
But who is Jack Freeman? Where did he come from and how did he get to be like this? I haven’t had a chance to really dig deeply into his world. That’s what I’ll be doing with the first entry of X-men Supreme Reflections Volume 5. This story will give readers a better understanding of who Jack Freeman is and why he’s struggles the way he does. His story is one that’s going to have some major implications later on in this fanfiction series so you won’t want to miss this. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview on this website and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
Once again, I’d like to thank everybody for their support of this fanfiction series. I still have some big ideas I want to explore moving forward. Once this entry of X-men Supreme Reflections has concluded, I’ll make some announcements on X-men Supreme Volume 6 and its release schedule. Like I said before, it may be different this time. But no matter how it comes out, I’m going to try and make it as awesome as possible. And part of that process involves getting feedback from readers. So please take the time to continue providing feedback for this fanfiction series. Either contact me directly or post it in each individual issue. Either way is fine. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Another volume of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series comes to an end today. As I have with previous volumes, I try to make it so that this era of X-men Supreme ends with a major shift. That shift usually entails a profound change in the conflict between humans and mutants, one that has major implications for Charles Xavier’s dream of peaceful coexistence. And after the events of the Dark Legacy arc, I don’t think the change facing the X-men could be more profound.
The world of X-men Supreme will never be the same. I know Marvel says that all the time after a major event or relaunch. But unlike Marvel, the changes in this fanfiction series will carry a lot of weight. There will be no time travel, retcons, or alternate universes to undo the damage done by the events of Dark Legacy, the Phoenix Saga, Overlord, or Uprising. These events are entrenched in the history of X-men Supreme and they’ll affect the very future of the X-men. That also means the death of Thunderbird, who succumbed to the Legacy Virus during the Dark Legacy arc, will not be undone. He will not rise again like Jean Grey has done in the comics. His death and that of the 300 million other people who died will stick.
How does a world even recover from a catastrophe on this scale? Mankind has endured wars, plagues, and natural disasters for centuries. However, it has never endured anything like this. The Legacy Virus was Sinister’s ultimate endgame, a method for him to get what he wanted regardless of how many lives it cost. It’s an endgame that left humans and mutants alike equally devastated. For the many conflicts the X-men face in both X-men Supreme and in the comics, they often struggle with those that effect either mutants or humans. For once, both sides were affected. Sinister even made sure of it. Every world leader from President Kelly to Wanda Maximoff on Genosha have to deal with this same trauma. It has the potential to bring the world together, if only for a while. It also will leave this world very vulnerable.
There have already been a number of instances in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series where a tragedy was exploited. Sebastian Shaw exploited his history with Emma Frost to make her betray the X-men in the Phoenix Saga. Then Senator Kelly exploited the events of Uprising and Overlord to run for President of the United States. Even General Grimshaw used his knowledge of Weapon X’s devious history to earn the trust of Charles Xavier and the X-men. With so many reeling from the Legacy Virus, who will rise up and exploit this moment of vulnerability for humans and mutants alike? All will be answered, at least in part, with the final issue of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths.
With the conclusion of this era of X-men Supreme, I’ve made my final decision on the future of this fanfiction series. I know I’ve been saying for a while now that this could be the final volume of X-men Supreme. I’m still somewhat disappointed with the lack of feedback in recent times, but there are still those who support this fanfiction series. And I still have a desire to keep exploring this unique world of X-men that I’ve conjured. At the same time, I also have a desire to pursue other projects. So with that, I’d like to make a few announcements.
First and foremost, X-men Supreme will not be ending with the conclusion of Volume 5. It will continue. And just as I have with previous volumes of this fanfiction series, I will craft another entry of X-men Supreme Reflections. I also intend to do another one-shot afterwards. But after that, there will be an X-men Supreme Volume 6. However, I will not be updating this iteration of X-men Supreme with the same regularity as I have. Ever since this fanfiction series began, I’ve been very strict about updating on a biweekly basis. This schedule is difficult to keep due to the scope and scale of this fanfiction series. As a result, I will be adding more time in between updates to ensure that I have time to pursue other projects.
However, this decision is subject to change. If feedback increases, I am willing to change the update schedule for X-men Supreme. That means you, the readers, have the power to determine how this fanfiction series unfolds. Doing so means providing feedback on this series. Talk about the characters, the events, the relationships, or anything else that I’ve explored in X-men Supreme. I’m happy to hear it all. Either post it directly in the issue or contact me directly. Either way is fine. But for now, X-men Supreme’s schedule will change. I will announce more details in the coming weeks. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

The world of X-men Supreme has been devastated. Over 300 million people are dead. Millions more are in a state of shock and horror. The Dark Legacy arc may be over, but the destruction it has wrought is on a scale that’s difficult to imagine. When Sinister unleashed his Legacy Virus, he didn’t care how many died. He didn’t care how many suffered. Humans and mutant alike were all equally vulnerable because they all had something he wanted. In the end, the X-men made sure he didn’t get it. But the damage has been done.
As with the previous volumes of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, I made sure the final arc is a major event with a major impact. Previous arcs like Overlord and Uprising create upheaval the nature of the conflict that the X-men face in their pursuit of Charles Xavier’s dream. That upheaval is usually caused by the actions of their enemies, like Magneto. However, the X-men have never faced upheaval like the kind Sinister unleashed with the Legacy Virus. This goes beyond Charles Xavier’s dream and strikes at the very foundations of the world they try to protect. It ensures the world of X-men Supreme will be very different moving forward for the X-men.
In moving forward, the X-men will have to deal with one of the few major deaths I’ve carried out in this fanfiction series. Back in X-men Supreme Issue 31: Memory Musings, I told the story of John Proudstar’s role in this fanfiction series. I gave him a role far greater than the one he briefly had in the X-men Comics. He wasn’t just another strong mutant who could add muscle to the team. He was the one who trained the X-men and taught them how to fight. In addition, he was Jean Grey’s first lover. His place in the X-men within this fanfiction series is much more personal. That makes his death at the hands of the Legacy Virus in X-men Supreme Issue 124: Dark Legacy Part 4 much more powerful.
Thunderbird joins the over 300 million other deaths that the Legacy Virus has claimed. While the X-men were able to prevent millions more, thanks to the bold and reckless efforts of Charles Xavier, the world is still traumatized. Humans and mutants alike will need time to heal and time to mourn their dead. When tragedies on such a large scale strike, it has a way of making every superficial difference seem more trivial. In some ways it will bring humans and mutants closer together. But in others, it will make them vulnerable for the next upheaval. From Genosha to the White House, everyone is vulnerable. So what kind of world will emerge from the ashes?
That world will start to take shape in the final issue of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths. Like Overlord and Uprising before it, the X-men will work with allies like President Kelly, General Grimshaw, and Wanda Maximoff to chart a course forward. At the same time, they’ll have to contend with the losses they’ve suffered. For a brief moment, they’ll stand together to soak in this tragedy. But don’t expect that moment to last long. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview on this site and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
I’m determined to end X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths on a strong note. I’m treating it as another critical turning point in the unfolding story that is X-men Supreme. At the same time, I’m going to leave room to make it the final entry in this fanfiction series. However, I am not currently leaning towards such a course. There’s still more story I want to tell. And if I do decide to continue X-men Supreme, I’ll make it official after the final issue for X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths is posted. I’m still somewhat disappointed by the lack of feedback, but I’m still encouraged by the extent to which some have followed this fanfiction series and I hope to continue doing so. To all those who want to see more of X-men Supreme, please feel free to contact me at any time. I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Today is a solemn yet defining moment for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. The Dark Legacy arc is about to end. The death and destruction unleashed by Sinister and his Legacy Virus will be complete. The world the X-men fight to protect will never be the same. There will be losses. Charles Xavier will have some difficult and solemn decisions to make. Some will be deeply scarred in profound ways. In every case, the X-men and the world as a whole will have to pick up the pieces. The question remains what kind of world will emerge in X-men Supreme in wake of so much destruction?
The aftermath of a catastrophe can often be every bit as impactful as the catastrophe itself. After a major natural disaster or a national tragedy, the bonds and identity of a society are often tested. We find out just how unified and strong they are. We also find out who is in a position to exploit the situation. X-men Supreme established a fragile yet functional peace between human and mutant factions. The situation after the events of the Cambrian Explosion made both sides feel vulnerable. Magneto came dangerously close to exploiting it again, but he also gave the X-men and General Grimshaw the foundation they needed to craft this peace.
Now after the death and destruction caused by Sinister’s Legacy Virus, what will this mean for General Grimshaw’s Mutant Security Agency? What will this mean for President Kelly’s often tenuous policy on mutants? And what will this mean for the Scarlet Witch and the rest of Genosha? There are a lot of potential conflicts to consider, but there’s one important detail that may unite them. The Legacy Virus affected them all equally. Like real diseases, it doesn’t care who is a minority and who is in power. Every side of the conflict will be weakened, including the X-men. It’s the extent of the losses that will establish the new status quo for this fanfiction series.
Beyond the global and geopolitical implications, there are also some personal impacts. The extent of all those impacts will be revealed in the final issue of this game-changing arc. Few will feel that impact more than Charles Xavier. In X-men Supreme, I’ve given him some very human flaws. Being the world’s most powerful telepath isn’t his greatest challenge. It’s his health. It nearly killed him before, requiring alien intervention from the Shi’ar to survive. Now it’s about to be pushed in ways that will have a profound impact on the function of the X-men moving forward.
There are so many impacts and so many emotions to reveal. In terms of the big picture, the Dark Legacy arc will cause some of the greatest upheavals the X-men Supreme fanfiction series has endured to date. Nobody will escape its effects. Charles Xavier, General Grimshaw, President Kelly, Wanda Maximoff, and everyone in between will be struck. And as I said before, there will be losses and those losses will hit the X-men hard. The scope and scale of Sinister’s madness will finally be revealed in this issue and the world of X-men Supreme will never be the same.
I can’t overstate how monumental this arc is for the larger context of this fanfiction series. There are personal implications for characters like Wolverine and Charles Xavier. There are pragmatic implications with how the X-men function in this new world. These are all stories I still want to explore, but the lack of response I’ve gotten from readers has made it difficult to put sufficient energy into that exploration.
There are still those who continue to support this fanfiction series and for those people, I thank you. I’d love to hear from more people. I put a lot of time and energy into this fanfiction series and I want to make it as awesome as possible. I can’t do that without feedback. Either contact me directly or post your comments directly in the issue. Either way is fine. Next week, I’ll make an announcement on the future of this series. But the decision I make is still subject to change, depending on feedback. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Some of the X-men’s most defining moments have come in the face of a terrible loss. Major stories like the Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past became iconic because of the impact that such a loss had on the X-men. There have been losses in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. Professor Charles Xavier lost his first real student in Kevin McTaggart during the Proteus arc. It was a deeply personal loss that hit him and his X-men hard at a time when they were already vulnerable. Now, as the events of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths has unfolded, the X-men face a new kind of vulnerability. And this time, the losses will be much greater.
It’s always a risk, having characters endure a loss of some kind. The X-men have lost plenty over the years in the comics. The deaths of Charles Xavier, Jean Grey, and most recently Wolverine are just among the few. However, I’m of the opinion that Marvel goes overboard with this at times and I’m not just talking about the tendency for characters to come back to life. I think resurrecting characters is nowhere near as demeaning to a story than an overly callous plot. The death of Jean Grey in the Phoenix Saga was an intensely emotional moment for the X-men. That’s what made it so powerful. Jean Grey’s eventual resurrection didn’t change that. And if the X-men are going to suffer losses in X-men Supreme, I want it to be just as powerful.
At times, I’ve been overly careful with this fanfiction series. I write X-men Supreme with the assumption that the characters are the most valuable components of the story. So I’ve avoided some of the shock tactics that Marvel has been employing with stories like the Death of Wolverine. But for an arc like Dark Legacy, I can’t afford to be that careful anymore. This is an arc that is reshaping the way the world of X-men Supreme functions and it’s doing so under the weight of a terrifying atrocity by Sinister. Like any atrocity, there will be casualties.
So with the final issue of Dark Legacy on the horizon, I’m comfortable announcing that a character will die in this story. This death will have a significant impact. It will profoundly affect the X-men and a few other supporting characters that, for spoiler reasons, I cannot identify. I can only say that the millions of deaths caused by the Legacy Virus will take an emotional toll on many characters. Some will end up losing more than others. This will not be the same as the death of Wolverine or even the death of Jean Grey in the Phoenix Saga. This will be a shared loss within a story that has had many. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview on this website and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
I understand that many comic fans are somewhat desensitized to character deaths these days. As soon as Marvel or DC Comics kill a major character, the countdown until their inevitable return begins. That’s not going to be the case here with X-men Supreme. This death will stick. In the same way I avoid using time travel and parallel universes, I will avoid callous resurrections for the same reason I avoid callous deaths. This fanfiction series is entering a dark period in its history, but it’ll also be a defining period. As such, it’s very important that others provide feedback so I know I’m doing the right things with the X-men. Some have been very generous with their comments. I’d like to hear more like them. Please feel free to contact me any time or post comments in the individual issues. I’m always happy to talk X-men or comics in general. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Whenever a horrific atrocity is committed, an equally horrific justification is often given for it. There have been numerous atrocities and would-be atrocities throughout the history of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. There’s no doubt that Weapon X was an atrocity from the beginning. It tormented and abused the likes of Wolverine, X-23, Fantomex, and Mystique in ways that leave them scarred to this day. Magneto has come close to a few atrocities as well in X-men Supreme, coming so close as to incur an extinction event in the Overlord arc. In every case, Magneto and Weapon X made excuses for their atrocities. It was up to the X-men to stop them. In numerous instances, they succeeded before the situation could escalate a certain point. However, they are way past that point in the Dark Legacy arc.
The world of X-men Supreme has already been ravaged in ways that go beyond humans, mutants, and the X-men. Sinister’s Legacy Virus has killed millions and infected millions more. Within the span of a week, the entire world of X-men Supreme is facing a pandemic of apocalyptic proportions. Losses are mounting all over the world. Governments can’t do anything. Mutants can’t do anything. Even the X-men can’t do anything. The damage cannot be undone. It can only be mitigated. However Dark Legacy pans out, the X-men Supreme fanfiction series is going to be a very different world when all is said and done. But how can such a cataclysm end?
The X-men are no longer just standing back and lamenting at the death and destruction caused by the Legacy Virus. Thanks to Wolverine’s quest to reunite with his lost love, Rose, they know where Sinister is. They know where they have to go and who they have to attack. However, they’re fighting an enemy in Sinister who isn’t just on a murderous rampage. He still has an agenda and in some sick, twisted way, he believes his agenda is justified. Sinister is still tormented by the loss of Selene in the Civilization No Longer Lost arc, but he’s not at all dissuaded from his vision.
That vision and the horrors it has wrought is about to be revealed. The clock is ticking for the X-men. Everyone from Genosha to President Kelly is relying on them. They need to take down Sinister in order to save what’s left of their world. The emotional and dramatic toll will continue to escalate as it has never escalated before in this fanfiction series. Secrets and lies will finally start to culminate. And everyone, including the X-men, will suffer losses as Sinister’s agenda continues to unfold.
There’s only one issue left in the Dark Legacy arc. Afterwards, the dust can finally start to clear on the new status quo for the X-men Supreme fanfiction series. It’ll be a very different world for the X-men, their allies, and even their enemies. It’s a world I want to continue to explore and even with the limited feedback I’ve been getting, I’m inclined to keep going. However, I need to know that I can make this world as awesome as it can be. So please, I urge everyone to take the time to review. Either contact me directly or post your feedback directly in the issue. Either way is fine. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

There are certain points in a conflict where it’s no longer possible to save the day. It’s only possible to save part of it. The X-men have had to make that decision on more than one occasion throughout their tumultuous history. Decisions in events like the Morlock Massacre and House of M often come after plenty of damage has been done. The same has occurred in the X-men Supreme fanfiction series on plenty of occasions. Magneto did a lot of damage when he plunged the world into chaos during Overlord. The Cambrian did the same during the Cambrian Explosion arc. In each case, the X-men couldn’t prevent the damage. They just had to preserve what they could.
In the Dark Legacy arc, the X-men are well past the point of no return. Sinister won the first round decisively. He tricked the X-men, and even his own Marauders, into unleashing the Legacy Virus on an unsuspecting world. Now the X-men, the Brotherhood, and the governments of the world are desperate. Millions are dying. Millions more are suffering. There’s no undoing this damage. Unlike the comics, the X-men will not solve this through time travel or retcons. There will be a significant body count. There will be lasting scars on the world they try desperately to protect. Some of those scars won’t heal anytime soon.
It’s an important distinction that I want this fanfiction series to have compared to the comics. I don’t want big upheavals in X-men to be easily undone or glossed over. I want them to have a genuine impact. I also don’t want that impact the completely undermine the spirit of X-men or the foundation I’ve laid in this fanfiction series. I’ve seen one too many stories in the comics either go way overboard or just give up before exploring the implications. A massive global pandemic like this should have an impact on the X-men, mutants, and humanity as a whole. However, this crisis is coming dangerously close to an extinction-level event.
The only way the X-men have any hope of saving what’s left of their world is to confront Sinister. Right now, the only lead they have has come courtesy of Wolverine, who is fighting a very different and very personal battle. That personal battle has already affected the course of this conflict. Sinister’s revelation to Mystique about her former life as Rose helped forge a connection that will put Wolverine, the X-men, and Sinister on a collision course. If the X-men lose, then they lose so much more than a battle. The stakes truly couldn’t be higher. The Dark Legacy arc and its impact will reverberate throughout the entire fanfiction series. That I can guarantee. As always, I’ve prepared a brief preview of the next issue on this website and on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
The end of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths is near. The end of the X-men fanfiction series may be near as well, but I’ve yet to decide. If it does continue, it will have to be in a more limited capacity. However, that could very well change depending on the feedback I get. I know X-men Supreme has become massive series over the course of five years. It’s hard to catch up with. But I work long and hard to make sure it’s accessible to X-men fans of all ages. And to ensure that work bears fruit, it’s important that I continue to get feedback. Please send it to me directly via email or post your comments directly in the issue. Either way is fine. I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

When a big storm hits, the initial onslaught does the most damage. Every enemy the X-men face has to make their first punch count. In the early days of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants made it count when they bested the X-men on their first encounter. Enemies like Weapon X made it count as well, but were unable to do enough damage to prevent their defeat. Time and again, the X-men have been knocked down hard. They’ve been on the ropes with events like Overlord and the Cambrian Explosion. However, they’ve never been hit this hard.
Sinister’s first blow was devastating on a level that the X-men never could’ve anticipated. The initial onslaught of the storm was released in the first issue of Dark Legacy, but the damage is still unfolding. The scope and scale of Sinister’s most devious creation, the Legacy Virus, is still emerging. The X-men have already felt some of the effects. Shadowcat, Psylocke, and Beast were infected in the aftermath of their defeat. They are now suffering the debilitating symptoms of the Legacy Virus. The damage to the X-men has been done, but it isn’t just the X-men who will suffer.
Sinister didn’t release the Legacy Virus just to hurt the X-men. His vision is much bigger. It’s a vision that has been unfolding in many ways since he first made his presence known in Sinister Intent. His vision has not always been clear. He’s been very careful to keep his agenda and his plans secret. But after losing Selene in the Civilization No Longer Lost arc, he no longer cares about being careful. He’s ready to unleash the Legacy Virus all over the world. The true nature of his plan has yet to be revealed, but the damage is about to become painfully apparent.
The Dark Legacy arc is about to enter the worst part of the initial onslaught in this storm. The X-men usually go out of their way to make sure that their activities and those of their enemies do not affect the rest of the world. In X-men Supreme and in the comics, they usually place a high priority on not letting innocent humans get hurt. But this time, the X-men have failed. Innocent humans and innocent mutants are going to suffer this time. The extent of that suffering will be at the center of this storm as it unfolds in the next issue of the Dark Legacy arc.
This fanfiction series is entering a dark yet fragile time. The world of X-men Supreme is changing radically. The mission of the X-men and the world they’re trying to protect will not be the same at the conclusion of this arc. The world that emerges will be the foundation for the future of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, if there is one. However, I’m still not sure how far that future will go. I’ve been disappointed by the lack of feedback lately. I know the scope and scale of X-men Supreme has gotten so big that it’s hard to keep up at times. But I’m working long and hard to make sure it’s still awesome and accessible. And I can’t succeed if people don’t take the time to provide me feedback. Either contact me directly or post your comments directly in the issue. Either way is fine and I’m always happy to chat. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

It’s a dangerous time in X-men Supreme. A tragedy of massive proportions is beginning to unfold. Sinister has won. He outsmarted the X-men, releasing his Legacy Virus onto an unsuspecting world. This act and the consequences from it will change the X-men Supreme fanfiction series in a profound way. It’s a change that will be emotional, dramatic, and even tragic. Some of the X-men’s most defining moments have been built around tragedy and atrocity. This fateful event will do both for X-men Supreme.
This isn’t the first time the X-men have lost against one of their enemies. It’s easy to forget that for all their triumphs, the X-men lost their fight against the Brotherhood of Mutants in their first encounter back in X-men Supreme Volume 1: Mutant Revolution. The X-men have always endured more upheaval in defeat than they have in victory. Defeat has shaped the course of their struggle, both in the comics and in X-men Supreme. It was defeat that led to Jean Grey’s death in the comics during the original Phoenix Saga. It was defeat at the hands of the Black Queen that put Amanda Sefton in a coma in X-men Supreme. In every case, the X-men have been able to adapt and keep fighting. This case, however, is different.
The Legacy Virus won’t just affect the X-men or mutants in general. Sinister created this virus to affect everyone. After losing Selene in Civilization No Longer Lost, he’s abandoned any and all sense of subtlety and tact. He no longer cares who gets hurt in his endless quest to create the ultimate mutation. It’s something that isn’t often explored in the comics. The X-men face many villains who will attack and hurt mutants. However, the impact is rarely felt by humanity as a whole. Humans and mutants inhabit the same planet. That’s why the X-men are so dedicated to protecting it. This time, humans and mutants alike will share in the devastation.
It has happened all throughout history. Plague and tragedy don’t care if someone is a minority. They hurt and scar people all the same. I always felt the way the Legacy Virus was used in the X-men comics was somewhat incomplete. It did lead to tragedy and loss, namely with the death of Colossus. But it never went beyond that. It never felt like a real plague. In X-men Supreme, the Legacy Virus is an entirely different menace. For once, humans and mutants are going to share in the horror equally. And it’ll still be up to the X-men to stop it. The upheaval will continue as the Dark Legacy arc unfolds. As always, I’ve posted a brief preview on this website and an extended preview on the X-men Supreme Official Blog.
Make no mistake. This arc will create more than upheaval. In any great tragedy, there is always great loss. The X-men have already endured losses, such as the death of Kevin McTaggart in the Proteus arc. But the losses in this arc will be much greater. Those losses will change the course of the X-men Supreme fanfiction series if it continues. I know it’s risky when the X-men endure such losses, but it helps give emotional weight to their story in both the comics and in this fanfiction series. For that reason, it’s very important I continue to receive feedback for X-men Supreme. This arc may incur some upsetting developments for fans. I want to hear from those fans and every fan. So please take the time to review or send me your comments. Either contact me directly or post your feedback directly in the issue. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!

Some conflicts are the result of smaller conflicts that have built and escalated over time. Some are a result of a convergence of various other conflicts that reinforce one another. In the X-men Supreme fanfiction series, I’ve created stories around both types. Magneto’s plot to use an asteroid to destroy the world in Overlord was largely a result of his failures in the Uprising arc. The events of Weapon Plus were primarily a result of Weapon X being defeated and Colonel Wraith seeking to subvert General Grimshaw. However, the conflict in the final arc of X-men Supreme Volume 5: Dark Truths is a combination of both.
This is a conflict that begins and ends with Sinister. He’s already done a great deal of damage to the X-men throughout this fanfiction series. Between disrupting Rogue’s powers and tormenting Wolverine with his past, he’s shown that he’s capable of causing the X-men a great deal of pain. However, he’s usually been content to stay in the shadows. He’s not like Magneto in that he seeks a global stage. He rarely causes a conflict that require the X-men to deal with the global impact. That’s been Sinister’s style in both X-men Supreme and the comics. But that changes with this arc.
Sinister is in a dangerous state. Having lost Selene after the events of Civilization No Longer Lost, he is disturbed and unstable. He is so unstable that even his closest allies, Vulcan and Goblin Queen, have shown concern. But nothing can stop him at this point. He’s already set into motion the events that will create the conflict in this arc. And unlike previous arcs involving Sinister, this one will touch every corner of X-men Supreme. His actions will disrupt the very foundation of this fanfiction series. It’ll also lead to some far-reaching consequences that will affect some characters more than others.
Some characters have already felt it. Mystique and Wolverine were the first victims after Sinister revealed that Mystique was actually Rose, the woman that Wolverine once loved. But that revelation was only a pre-cursor. The X-men already know of a conflict brewing involving techno-organic material that went missing from Genosha. That conflict has put them on a collision course with Sinister that will culminate in this arc. X-men Supreme will never be the same and it’ll be all Sinister’s doing. And it begins here.
There’s still a lot I want to do with this fanfiction series, even after this arc. I’m getting closer to making my decision. I have been getting feedback from some very kind readers, but it’s still limited. I’m about to do some very disruptive things with the X-men and it’s something nobody will be able to read in the X-men comics. That’s why it’s so important that I get feedback. I want to make sure that I’m doing this right, creating a world for X-men fans that they can’t get anywhere else. Please take the time to contact me directly or post your comments in the issue. I’m always happy to talk X-men. Until next time, take care and best wishes. Excelsior!
